Congrats!! It looks like your wife was not called for oath and finger print.

  2. I read somewhere that issuing a CR1 visa is totally depend on the officer who issued the visa, people still get this type of visa even though they been married more then two years.

You dont need a polio certificate, they have polio stations set up at the airports, they give you a vaccination to drink there at the airport.

I think it would be easier to get your wife to pay the greencard in the US because the money has to be drawn out from US bank. Have your wife do it and it has to be done BEFORE you leave pakistan. The actual green card can take a few weeks to come in the mail after you arrive. Have you applied for your SSN yet or will that be done once you get to US?

It does not has to been done before you leave pakistan.

  3. I got married in 2011 my husband filled my petition right after our marriage!! Allah blessed us with a baby in 2012 so usko b add kia phr dec2013 me interview hva or bht acha hva koi masla kch b nhi the CO said k within 3 months ap duno ko visas miljaege abi tk passports b unk pass hen

  4. Consult with your lawyer and ask that if just writing an email or any communication to islamabad and telling them that you are about to file the writ and you are just giving them an advance notice before you do. So that they might make a decision now and let u know. Becuz according to wat i have read about writ is that embassies themselves will try to avoid get any kinda of lawsuit if they can, its also more burden and paperwork for them.

so in short, after consulting ur lawyer, communicate with ISL and let them know you are about to take this action if there is no answer from them

Thanks for your advice but i do not think it is smart idea to tell anyone before filling a law suit :) It could be consider at threat.. But thank you for your suggestion..

  5. My hubby was in AP for over a year. I have heard of several others in AP for longer.

Hypnos is correct. A writ of mandamus forces the unit to make a decision within a set time (usually 60-90 days). It DOES NOT mean they have to approve the case. A denial is also a decision. If the security checks have not been completed you will receive a denial.

Thank you all :) I appreciate your feedback.

  6. Hello all,

I am talking to a lawyer who is suggesting to file a Mandamus law suit. My husband has been in AP for over an year. Has anyone file Mandamus with success?

Here is the link for the lawyer.

His prices are expensive so i would like to find other lawyer referrals as well.

    Thank You,
