sweetlove- im not sure but from what i thinkits...
passport
anything they asked from u.
all documents just incase they want to copy them
also u could email them asking them what to bring with him.
-
Why don't you have a family member do it for you since you are still in Yemen.
well cuz i think she will want to talk to me not a family member but i might give it a try now see if it will be ok ..
-
im not able to contact them cuz im still in yemen and they dont give their emails out online and where i live there r two senators and the websites wont let send them an email threw the website its so frustratin.
-
i just dont think emailing them everyday is a good idea they will ignore thrm if they see that the i have written so much also i think our embassy in yemen is unfair just like sleepless said and they lie when they say there are people ahead of us its all about being lucky or mot. also whats driving me crazy is that automated message that they have when u email them. we all know its not closed why do u think they havnt changed that message
-
has anyone tried calling the embassy. do u think if i call it will do some help
-
well doesnt matter he already payed it lol and inshallah they do give him the visa on december 4th and ralis husband the money isnt a problem as ling as they do the job right in the embassy
-
the affidavit form is suppose to be signed by the petitioner and notarized at any notry public but if u r going to the interview with ur spouse the interviewin officer will notarize it for u. now sweet love i have no idea why ur husband payed 260 for .. the visa application fee should already been payed foronline before u filled it out because they dont allow u to sign it until u have paid both aos fee and visa applicatin fee . know when a person gets his visa in his hands he has to pay the $165 fee for the greencard . this should be paid before entrance to the u.s or they say they wont send u the greencard . the fee is paid only threw online. not in the embassy because it goes to the department of state.
-
congrats sweetlove and everyone with good news. you guys im not sure my husband gave then his number did they ask for ur numbers when u went yo the embassy or do they take the number from the visa application i forgot if i even put his number do u think they will email me
-
congrats RAli33 to u nd ur husband. my uncle got his visa today .
-
Inshallah thx!
And I've only been her for almost 9 months
But you never know what proof/papers they might ask.
So take something just in case, IMO
i dont think they will ask u for anything cuz its only 9 months and also if ur wife does get her visa soon u will be outta here soon inshallah

Hey guys! Asaalamalakum!
So Im new to this website but ive been reading and keeping up with all your posts for months. So my husbands interview is on November 20, and after reading some of yall posts i started getting concerned about something, when it said you should have something tying you back to America the only thing i can think of is my college school records from jus last year because i didnt work and i didnt pay any bills since i lived with my parents while away from my husabnd. So plz help me on that im really nervous and also he never sent me any money so i was finiancially supported by my parents because he doesnt make a lot and he was supporting his father and brothers and sisters yall kno how it is in Yemen so i have no reciepts for like Western Union or Money Gram do u think that will affect our approval or it not really? Also im a natural born U.S. citizen and i jus came bak to Yemen to stay with my husband ive been here for five months. I will update you guys on how our interview goes soon inshallah kair! And i appreciate any and all help and ill be glad to answer any questions!
I dnt think u have to worry about the money thing because if u lived with ur parents the interviwer would mostly assume they are the ones that are
supporting you financialy. and you have not been in yemen to long for them to ask for anythin . when i went with my husband to the interview they asked when i came to yemen and they didnt say anything and i came to yemen in september of2012 and our appointment was on may2013 so i was here for 9 months . and im still here but leaving this month inshallah

i have a question when you guys write to the embassy do u guys write all the info about u nd ur spouse like name , DOB, case # and , the person submittin email or fo u just include the case number and thats it
-
Also anyone that has had an app before
Please list me questions they asked you or your spouse?
I know I'm being annoying but please! Lol
Well it depends on the case .
but for us they asked me if i knew the sponser
asked me where my son was born
then he asked my husband how many siblings do i have and he had to name them from oldest to youngest .then he asked my husband what my address in the us was. then he asked him whos name was on the lease for the apartment. thats it
-
for me i printed out just the confirmation cuz it says to take it with me to the interview which i did and the embassy should have the application already in their system they dont need the print out. since the begining of this process i have been the one doing all the paper work for my husband and from my experience i am just saying thats the only thing needed .however if u think thats not enoughu should check to see what else u need
-
No our confirmation is just one page there are no other pages unless they changed it which i doubt because the ds-260 is new and recent version.
what guy did u go to is he in yemen wats his name
-
Or can anyone please write of list of papers you took with you to the interview?
* passport photos
* marriage certificate in (arabic&english)
* birth certificate (arabic &english) for applicant
* supporting documents for i-864 ( dont forget to bring the taxs for this year if you have not yet )
* wedding photos, also new photos together.
* money gram orders even from yemen to the us bring it.if u have
* ds-260 confirmation
* a new police certificate if the first already expired.(expires after 6 months)
* affidavit of residence and paternity form filled with evidance if required.
* the medical examination
* the appointment slip if you have one
* your passports to get in offcourse
* and any additional stuff for some people who were required to show any evidance of marriage or address or anything
hope i didnt miss anything inshallah all goes with u try to stay positive cuz u dont want your mind blowing off in a million piece from thinking

We went to a guy that works with the getting you ready for a visa interview.
And he said we have papers missing that came with the ds-260??
Can anyone please help me?
The ds-260 is the online form that you are required to fill out for the visa .its the visa application.its filled online and when ur all done you have to print out the confirmation . see if you have it or check if you sent it to ur email after you were finished with it ccuz u were suppose to have saved the confirmation page it says spicifically that u have to bring the confirmation page with u to the interview.good luck
-
this website explains alot about what u need to now ahmedtiaz http://yemen.usembassy.gov/mobile//yemen/birth_abroad.html
-
Ahmedtiaz- you have to make an appointment for ur babies to apply for them.they wont let u do anything on ur wifes appointment cuz its for her.theres this appointment system online go and see if u can make an appointment or send them an email good luck
-
so whos interview is up next let us know wat happens
-
good luck inshallah everything goes simple for you guys. make sure you have everything prepared.
-
really cuz october i sent them 4emails and my husband 1 and no replies .and im worried if i keep sending emails they wont reply and they will tell me to stop writing them or something.i sent then an email today threw my husbands email though and still the same automated message lets just see if there is luck in this month for us
-
dont get me started with the damn electricity i cant even freeze my ice cream i have to eat it before it melts.and inshallah ur situation does not go as far as mine cuz many ppl who had interviews after us and gotten AP after us have already gotten a call for visa pick ups.and i keep emailing them but no reply just that stupid automated message.they need to stop liening to us about the embassy being closed and change the automated message.

the first question well im not really sure what to tell u it took eight months till we got an appoinment but some ppl here it took them 4to 5 months to get one.
about u being in yemen i dont think its a problem but when the interview comes they might ask u for something that ties u to the us like bills or something then again everyones case is diffrent and everyone has diffrent situations . and if u have questions that u might not find the answer to here dont be afraid to ask the embassy email them but the truth is i dont know if its just me but they arnt answerin any of my emails lately idk y.
