I am 21 years older than my husband, we are very much in love, before we met he neither had the want or need to come to the US. I deal with the looks and stares and snide remarks from family, friends and total strangers every day of the week. Now to the OP; a case cannot not be denied based on age alone, there must have been lack of evidence for a bonafide relationship. Perhaps you can have the actual US citizen whose fiance was denied pay us a visit so we get more details and thus get a better perspective on what actually went down at the interview.

Why do you think your fiance needs a visa to visit you in the UK? If he has a valid US passport he doesn't need a visa and he is allowed to stay for up to 6 months.
*You posted previously that he has a passport....so make sure it is still valid and tell him to buy a plane ticket*

Just to stray off topic for a sec, the sun, actually, DOES NOT rise in the east, the Earth just happens to be rotating in that direction at that moment in time. The truth of the matter is we are all human and as such we tend to judge and stereotype others based on overloads of misinformation or just plain old ignorance. I was just wondering why anyone would come this far with someone they can't/don't trust? For me if I have to even ask myself about hiring a PI then there is an obviously huge problem. Without trust there is nothing. Just my opinion, save your money and move on.

Even in the finer hotels you have the hookers and the un-desirables. And you can get HIV anywhere in the world.

Grand Hotel Regina is the one I stayed in both times I went to Algeria . It is very inexpensive and right in downtown Algiers. It was nice and clean. The very cheap rooms, do not have a bathroom, You have to use a public one, so make sure you ask for a room with one. LOL

It has been over an hour now since I received the approval notification...I just want to shout to the world how excited I am but can't since it is almost 1am...CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who recently got approved and to everyone who is still waiting...DO NOT GIVE UP! It is a long & frustrating process but KEEP CALM, BUSY, & PRAY!

It was really good, not so bad as some here would lead others to believe. It was a wonderful experience.

OK... so your interview was not quite 3 months ago, and you submitted the requested paperwork not quite 2 months ago. This timeframe is not really beyond what could be considered a "normal" or "usual" Administrative Processing period that we often see here in MENA. Many cases have taken 3 - 4 months or longer to complete their AP, and most do come through successfully. Of course I hope your case is completed as soon as possible.
At least you got an answer from them and they say they're working on it. If everything else seemed to go smoothly with your case, and the interview was positive, and they didn't ask about anything else - well, then try not to worry too much about it (I know, I know - it's almost impossible not to worry ) But insha'allah everything will be fine. Wish you all the best for a quick completion.

You might want to search the Middle East/North Africa regional subforum (farther down the list of forums) for your hotel question. Or, search the Embassy Reviews in case someone has said something (the other information will be helpful, besides). If these tactics fail, post your question in the ME/NA forum.
