  1. Nice post.

I strongly believe in this too hence why I only sent 2 letters from friends and marriage certificate as evidence. No photos. However we have a son together. This is honestly why I didn't frontload with evidence because I thought 'we have a child together. What more do you need to prove that our marriage is real'

I guess most people do so because it's better to be safe than sorry

  2. I would make sure to gather all the documents you need from him so that you can proceed to your interview without him. Also, make sure you have a copy of his orders when he gets it and he has a general POA for you to make things easier when he leaves and you arrive in the US. Goodluck. I survived a 12-month deployment, he got back 6 months ago. I even had my baby without him. Military wives are tough! :)

Yes we are :) been separated 6 months now, our son is 4 months

  3. 1. When did you receive noa1? You should get a notification that your petition has been transferred to one of those offices

    3. No. Initial review is normal. It's going to stay like that until you're either approved or receive an rfe

You can sign up for email notifications on the USCIS website. This way they will email you anytime anything happens with your file. It's usually just being advised that your file is being transferred

  4. im in the process of filing out form ds 260 but im stuck on a question and it has to be answered but I cant because it ask on part personal information part 2 question : provide the following information on your travel documentation : document type: passport or other travel document

now the situation is he is here in united states I married him in united states he entered united states iligally and do not have passport or other travel document so what do I do it doesn't give me option to skip it must be answered HELP !!!

Start your own thread!!! Your post has nothing to do with helping the OP

  5. If you're not married yet you can go the k1 route as this will get you to the u.s faster. HOWEVER you won't be able to work right away, there'll be a few months of waiting.

You probably couldn't find much on the k3 visa because it's pretty much obsolete now. K1 would be better than k3 if you remained unmarried.

Cheapest option is I-130. The entire process could take anything up to a year but the plus side is that you have your green card as soon as you enter the u.s and you'd be able to work almost immediately.

Since you have debts to pay off I recommend I-130. That gives you about a year to work and pay your debts then once you get your I-130 visa you can move to the u.s and continue working and paying your debts if you have any left by that time

  6. 1. I'm not too sure on the answer for this but I added an attachment because there were times I was unemployed so I thought to add that. It can't hurt, better to be safe

    3. If you see the guides for k1 it should give you an idea of the type of evidence. Try not to send a billion pictures though, maybe 10 will do

    4. Go easy with your chat logs too. Maybe 5 pages will do even that may seem too much. The main type of evidence is of you two meeting up such as boarding passes passport stamps etc

  7. When we initially sent in my petition we also included evidence to expedite and requested for it to be expedited in the cover letter. However I read in here somewhere that they don't really care about that and you have to call them. So my husband called as soon as we got noa1 and requested to be expedited. They emailed us a few days later 'requesting evidence' even though they had it already in our petition. My husband sent them the exact same evidence they already had then they approved it. I think your mistake was expecting them to expedite it when you sent in your paperwork.

Call them, put in a request to expedite, then provide evidence. Hopefully you get a different person.

Also when my husband first called the person he spoke to bluntly told him "you're not even in the country anymore so what's the rush to get her here" and flat out refused to put the request through. Thankfully my husband lives in a desert right now with such crappy phone service so the line cut out during that conversation. He called back, got someone else, and they put the request through.

    Good luck
