I was expedited at NVC.
I paid AOS and sent package. I waited days to pay the IV fee only to find out my case has already been fowarded to the embassy. I got in touch with the embassy and they told me they'll send me instructions on everything I need to do next. So I'm guessing this is what your embassy will do.

Did you sign up for electronic notification? That's faster than a letter
-
Wow. Typical USCIS. Good on you for trying again. Best of luck

Did they asked u anything on the interview why u requested to expedite ur case or why u did it twice?
We sent the evidence on Friday and now we are waiting! Will we get a reply back now? That they read our evidence or no? Im so worry i want this to be over....
I didnt request twice. The first person didnt put in my request, so someone else did it.
I see that you already put in a request and you were denied. Did you provide more evidence this time to back up your case or the same evidence?
-
Totally agree. It depends on who you get.
When my husband called and requested to expedite the agent he spoke to flat out refused to put the request through saying "well you're not even in America anymore so what's the rush to get your wife here" true. But I don't think that was his call to make. So my husband called back spoke with someone else who actually did their job and we got approved.
No use complaining about how they approved one and declined one, that's not going to get your family here any faster. Just request it again.

OP check everyday it could take anything from 1 day to about a week.

Military ID is proof of legal residence but I wouldn't say a military dependant ID is because I was living in the U.S illegally (overstayed VWP) and I had a military dependant ID but if she's saying that's okay then go for it.

It's an RFE. You need to wait for the hard copy of the letter to see what further evidence they're requesting

Happy birthday. I hope you get some good news soon. You're much closer today than you were yesterday

Thank you. I called the consulate and they've confirmed this

Hi everyone
So the past few days I've been trying to pay the IV fee. It's been invoiced but I cannot select it to actually pay. Finally I read a note at the top of the screen which said, my case has already been forwarded to my embassy and any other required fees must now be paid directly to my consulate at my interview. Okay so that's strange. Is anyone else getting this or do I actually need to get in touch with the embassy here in New Zealand now? I thought I still had a little while to go at the NVC stage.

Anyone else having problems making payment on the website?
-
You should get it soon. Took me over a month before I was assigned one
-
No. It still has to be sent
-
No. You shouldn't have used an attorney to start with.
I'm guessing it didn't actually take 2 months to get there. It got there in a timely manner but the date you have is when someone FINALLY opened your packet or put it in the system.

Everything you need to know will be in the NVC thread
-
Yes it is normal. Took almost 2 weeks for my case to reach NVC. Even when your case gets there it'll take around 30 days to get the case number so no need to be calling everyday. Maybe every few days to save yourself the stress
-
Yes you can. I sent the AOS package before I even received instructions. Just make sure to send all the correct documents
-
Yes. Only your husband will be interviewed at the embassy in Auckland. I think your biggest concern should be establishing domicile
Good luck

What? Waiting since march? We were just invoiced today. It seems like it's going to fast. I thought that maybe NVC was speeding up due to my extremely speedy NVC process but I guess not. I hope it's available to you soon.

Hopefully. It was available to us the next day

I think the poster had suggested it with good intentions, no judgement behind it. But now that everyone has a better idea of your background this will help with future responses.
I wish you luck in your journey and I hope you get justice for your son
