There is no such thing as an invitation or sponsor letter for a b1/b2. This is a common practice in many countries, but not in the US. In fact, your letter will likely hinder their approval. Read the requirements. They must prove on their own, they can support themselves, they have strong ties to their home county and will return after the visit.

It will vary by exactly where you live and how large of a house you have. We live 10 mikes to the south of Everett and our bills are approximately
Internet $50
Water $130
Electricity $75
Gas $50
Garbage $35

Did your Friend get chlaydia from her Fiancé? Either way, she and her fiancé need to have a serious discussion about their future together. At least one of them recently had a sexual encounter with another person.

Roughly 10% of those that go through the process put their details here. Of those that do, about 60-70% actually keep their data complete till the end. I base this off the last round of stats I watched on Igor's timeline. A portion of people don't come back to complete their timeline when they make a major milestone for whatever reason. That skews the results. Enough do post to give you a good approximation of what to expect. In our particular case, when we filed k1 it was averaging 4 months, but ours took 13. When we went AOS it averaged 90days but ours took 110. When we ROC it was averaging 6 months and it took 6 months.

We dont have joint bank accounts and we are through her 10yr gc. We have lots of other co-mingled stuff; cars, insurance, bills, etc, we submitted no more than 20 pages on her roc and about the same on Aos.

Or how about thoughts on any changes to abroad Uzbek citizens with the new leadership?

Quality not quantity...the more you provide, the more they have to read, and the more they have to interpret and decide if it supports or refutes your request. We sent in about 15 pages.

When does your green card expire?

Just so you know, there is no law that allows you to restrain someone for the reasons you describe. What you did can be considered domestic violence or kidnapping (depending on the state). Avoid all physical contact, always.

Most likely the phone is unlocked. Very few countries issue carrier locked phones. That is predominately a US thing these days. Especially because you say she reloads, which implies a pre-paid account which are unless caked accounts.

3 dwi - this is someone with a serious problem. 1, ok fine lesson learned. 3 is a huge redflag, this person has no regard for their life or others. Walk away.

Fundamentally we are not big risk takers, and combed over lots of previous posts. It came down to an assumption that each case has a limited amount of time to be reviewed. We felt it would likely be easier to follow several snap shots of time for banking, insurance, property etc. to make the conclusion our marriage was about us. Obviously some couples get questioned and they end up having to provide a stack of added docs. Fortunately our supplied evidence was just enough. Don't worry though, we don't plan to advocate our route is the right answer.

Just thought we would share our latest step in our journey. My wife received her 10 year card a couple of days ago. We were delighted of course, but frankly suprised by no interview. I know they don't interview everybody, but it sure seems like more do than don't. Also a pleasant suprise was the lack of a RFE. After watching so many posts where people were providing financial documents for every month from the moment of marriage to the application, or other bills showing every month, we were worried we didnt supply enough evidence. In our application, we provided 3 credit card statements from the 2 year period, 2 utility bills, copy of a car registration with both our names, 2 affidavits, 3 photos and the fees and forms. Glad that part is done!

Focus your energy on moving on. Karma will find her.

You will get 2-5x the radiological expose on the fligh(s) to the US than the image they will take gives to her.

Where in the insructions do they ask for 1000 pages of chat logs? How do they know that it was really you two vs some stream of thought pulled off the internet? It's irrelevant and not needed.

pay the ~$150'ish for a CPA to do your taxes. You are exempt from income earned abroad before you immigrated.
-
Some states allow for annulment - reverse marriage as if it never happened. Don't know where you married or your x's opinions but this could also be an avenue.

She really needs to emphasize that you were already out of the country. The instructions are for you both to be there, so they will be suspicious (incorrectly) because you are not there. She should start out and explain the entire situation, show the letter, show something from you etc and ask how they want to proceed.

Helping a Ukranian Family - they want to stay, here on the U4U Parole
in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus
Posted
We have met a family that is helping us by providing Nanny care to our toddler son. They came from one of the border towns in Ukraine about 1 year ago. They have no relatives or family here in the US that they could seek to adjust under, just husband, wife and their 9yr old son. We took the immigration journey 10yrs ago on a k1, but have no clue if they have some way to stay and adjust status. Could not quite find the answer in some of the other posts.
