James&Edlie reacted to gwendolyn40 in finally an interview schedule - what else do I need to prepare and be aware of the consular officer might ask during the interview
    hello
My case was completed Nov. 9, 2012 and interview is January 2, 2013. I am so happy. God is good. Just done with my medical also last Monday and even if I had a history of ptb last year 2011 but I passed the medical with flying colors, no sputum test thank God! My preparation works. I know I had scars on my lungs because I had ptb and pneumonia as well at the same time. I have been eating nutritious food like vegetables, lean meat and eating fruits everyday since the day we sent our I-130 application. It really helps my lungs to heal up and get back to it's normal functioning. I refrain from mingling in a crowd or riding a jeepney so I could not catch the tb bacteria again. I was so conscious also whenever I go outside in the road I always cover my mouth and nose just to protect myself from contracting tb again.
I brought my previous chest xray dated 4 months ago which says my lungs had scarring. So I was really surprised when during my medical I was told to go to pulmonary evaluation and my heart skipped a beat for a second. I told myself this is it the dreaded sputum test. But when the doctor told me my lungs is normal and no scars oh I breathed normally too . They just required me to bring a detailed medical certificate with a detailed ptb treatment (name of medications taken, dosage and duration). And most of all the best weapon is Prayer.
So for those who will undergo medical exam, you can do it also. You need to do something also not just praying alone.
Any input is appreciated for those who had their interviews. What do I need to bring the consular officer might ask from me.
VJ site is I could really say very very helpful. It leads us to the right path with the help of awesome and wonderful people here. Thanks to you guys.

I, like you don't have a lot of family left, and I was fortunate that they didn't have any problems with me marrying a younger filipina. However, I can tell you that if they hadn't liked what I was doing, they could have planted a big kiss on me where the sun don't shine. If someone doesn't like my wife, that's their problem, not mine. If my wife is not welcome somewhere, it's easy, I'm not welcome and won't go. I'm sorry, but my immediate family is more important to me than the rest of the family, even though I still love the rest of the family. I'm sorry, but to me it's a no brainer, but to each there own. Good luck!

Dysfunctional family is not all that uncommon, some times they seem to be like crab grass.... everywhere.
I rather like a saying that I got from another member of my family... you can pick your nose, you can pick your butt, but you can't pick your family.
There's another saying; f_ _ k all but 6, save them for palbearers, now that cremation is so common... screw them too.
Friends are the family you CHOOSE!
    ...
Don't worry about them, live your life, enjoy it to the fullest, carry no grudges, pucker for no butts. If they don't feel what you feel about family there is nothing you can do about it... move on but leave the porch light on.
There that is about as many different ways as I can say. Go live your life, enjoy!

She loved it and ate so much she just wanted to lay on the couch and watch football, haha. Had dinner will my family and she was so hAppy of the experience and it meant so much to her... I'm just so glad you revealed your true self after showing you have no evidence for your claims. Calling the husbands here "whoremongers" and the women therefore prostitutes.
This is an important insight into the rescue industry and feminazis: what they are really all about is hatred of pretty typical people on this forum. They pretend something else with these vague but incendiary terms like "human trafficking" and "marriage brokers".
That's why it is important not to let them get away with lying about domestic abuse statistics and lying with phony rhetoric.
Here is an alarming article with some actual data in it on domestic abuse in the Philippines:
    My link
That was a 91% increase over the previous year. That was quoted from the 2010 Human Rights Watch report, which was produced in 2011. I just looked up the summary report for 2011 here:
    2011 report Human Rights Watch
Not one word about foreign marriages and abuse. Instead, there is a section on domestic workers being abused abroad. Kang obviously has no concern about abuse of Filipinas because if that were true she would be looking at the appalling Philippine statistics and the plight of domestic workers, and not wives who don't even get the attention of reports by human rights watch.
Now of course Kang is pretending that we are saying there has never been any case, ever, of a Filipina abused by a foreign husband. That's the tactic of people with hidden agendas: to misrepresent what other people are saying.
Interesting that Kang has no timeline, no country, no talk of her own immigration situation that I can see from previous posts. I didn't look through all of them, but most of us who actually are involved in immigration talk a lot about our spouses and our own situation. Makes you wonder what is really going on.

We were apart for a total of 424 consecutive days (Vermont was slow back then too). Now that we're together, I don't even remember how difficult it was. What's 424 days apart compared to a lifetime together?
