What was the checklist for your DS260? And when did you send it? Thanks!

This is my 4th business day after sending the DS260, so far nothing yet from NVC.

In your case, you submitted the supporting documents with DS230.

Does the DS-260 allow you to submit a soft copy of the documents?

Curious, how it would work going forward when we only have to submit DS-260.

You have to send your civil docs via snail mail. A lot of people here already called NVC and they want all documents mailed. You might wanna call them and double check again.

I just got a checklist by e-mail.

First they were asking me to fill up the DS-260 form - what I've already done, even before they ask - and to submit the documents and also to fix some information of the AOS.

One question: Do I need to resend the docs of the IV package (they received it on Aug 22)?? Anyone who is on the same shoes can please give me some good news??

Just do the DS260 online. Since you got a checklist, they probably reviewed and entered all your civil docs in their system so no need to send them again. I know because same thing happened to me. Goodluck!

We are now waiting for the DS260 to be accepted. All our civil docs were entered and they said no need to send those again and submit the ds260. Hopefully, we will be case complete in a month. Goodluck everybody!

Hello guys , my pd is 01-03-2012 And I got my ao2 on April 26th 2013 ... I am still waiting for my case to be completed , can you please tell how long it takes ? And how long I have to wait till I get my wife's IL After case is completed ? And do u guys think that a visa will be available by the time my wife has the interview?

They have to review your AOS and IV docs for 30 business days and if everything is ok then they will email you that you that your case is completed. The earlier you get case complete, the higher chance your wife gets an interview letter because everybody is anticipating for the Retrogression for Oct visa bulletin

If it's May 2012 then we're covered! Lol. Just waiting for case competion since it takes them 30days to review everything now.

In my case, I recieved a checklist. I already fileld it out. I think this will get better soon. NVC just changed the procedure without thinking the whole story through. But it will get better...

You wait for the release of october visa bulletin. It is likely to retrogress to early 2012 is what some people here believes and I agree. Some 2011 cases are still waiting for interview so you might want complete your case first and then worry about the visa bulletin after. Goodluck!

Is there anyone with pd August 2012, waiting for NVC to contact? It's been a month I have not heard anything from NVC.

You don't wait for NVC to contact you. You have to call them and ask if they already have your case number and invoice identification number (IIN). You can call now, they have 5 hours till they close. Goodluck!

Starting Sept 1, NVC changed the ds230 to ds260 so everything is online. You just have to mail all your civil docs.

I also put my date of birth (month/year) on my address since I have never lived anywhere else, on my DS230. No issues there coz they accepted my IV package already.

Looking back on my g325a, I did the same. Date of birth (month/year) - PRESENT.

On the DS260 I put my DOB (month/year) too so it would be the same with my DS230.

I don't know but that's what I did this time. Well, if there's another checklist then I have to send it again and again until they get it right! Lol

Hi Tinjf10, what were you asked to fill as per the checklist? DS230 says places of stay for at least six months from the age of 16. Is that not sufficient?

I think they just want me to fill out the DS260. With the addresses, the checklist says that there was a gap of more than 6mons. So I researched what was wrong and when I did my Ds260, my husband's 16th bday showed up on my screen and I verified it with NVC that I should only put addresses after 16 y/o. And I guess that's what's wrong because I've started my dates from my spouse's birth.

I have few questions on AOS package so I appreciate if someone takes time and reply me.

1. My sponsor is providing last 6 months paystub so do I still need to provide employment letter ?

2. Does tax return for previous 2 years are enough or need to provide w2s with tax return ?

You don't have to submit an employment letter as long as you have recent pay stubs. Actually, you can submit the recent ITR and w2. It's optional to submit 3 years of tax return. But I sent 3 years of my ITR and W2.

They said the same thing when I called NVC today that the US Embassy will not accept the old form so I'm also confused. But since I got a checklist for the IV, I'm sending the DS260

To all those that had their IV accepted, did you list all your addresses from when you were born or from when you turned 16? I got a checklist saying there's a gap of residency. I need to fill out that darn DS260 and wait for 20 business days again so I want to be sure. ?

Hello, I am new to this forum. I haven't even introduced myself yet but anxious to ask a few questions

I hv received ,via email my case number , invoice number & DS3032 form. I have paid AOS fees $88 & hv post DS3032 2 days ago and AOS today.

Can I now go ahead & pay IV fees and send DS230 forms or do I have to wait for some other notification from NVC?

Any help with this question would be very appreciated..?

You have to call NVC and verify if they want you to send DS261 (equivalent of DS3032) since they just changed the forms to send.

You can send the AOS forms after paying the fee. Don't forget to print our your AOS coversheet.

If your IV fee has been invoiced, you can pay then go ahead and send your DS260 (they changed the form DS230 to DS260 effective as of Sept 1, 2013). Print out your IV coversheet too after paying.

DS 260 is for IV Documents...

I wasn't aware of the DS260 until now so Maybe I need to send that since they said I forgot to print "Present" on the address along with the Police cert. I have to call them in the morning to verify

Call tomorrow maybe it will be different. ? That's what I did when they emailed me that I have a checklist on my AOS. I'm frustrated too with our IV docs. We have to wait for a month again. ?

Nope. My AOS has been accepted. Now its the IV docs that has the problem.

Got checklist for the IV. It says we have to send a police clearance and We have submitted the NBI cert. Oh well.... ?

Both packages were delivered on Aug 5th to NVC. However, one was entered into the system on Aug 6th and another one on Aug 8th. Since AOS is already reviewed, than IV package is the one that was entered on Aug 8th. Still a big question why there was a delay in entering it into the system. I am sure the cover sheet was there and the correct one.

When did you send yours packages?

I sent my AOS and IV separately. My IV was delivered on Aug 6th but they entered it on Aug 8th. So I'm waiting patiently for next week.
