  1. Im sorry guys IV means is that affudavit of supporting with the supporting documents they need that we need to pass at nvc from us? so if we already pass that, so we are waiting theri decision if we are case complete now? what about the payment of visa , the $230 if im not mistaken?

IV is the Immigrant visa application which is the DS230. You have to pay your IV fee invoice first which is $230 inorder for you to print out the coversheet that will go with your IV packet so you can send it to NVC.

  2. After 18 days since I mailed my AOS, I received a checklist but where do I see the missing documents or parts that I need to fix? The letter basically says they reviewed the documents and if there's anything missing that I have to send it again with the coversheet and put the beneficiary's name, category and case # on all pages. I don't know what I need to fix. Help! Thanks!

  3. As Kanga said, the yellow letter just tells you things they want you to bring to the interview that you may or may not have already sent in with your application. Usually you get that letter before your interview is scheduled. I'm guessing you're going to get your interview letter shortly in the mail.

I checked it and still in initial review. How long do they usually send out Interview letter after that? Thanks!

  4. Most of you guys have received your interview letters. It has been 2 months and 2weeks since I had my biometrics and haven't heard anything. New Orleans' office is very slow. My sister's interview was scheduled a year after her biometrics, this was my fear whenever I applied. I might have to contact our congressman because I can't wait that long.

  5. I am getting ready to send out our IV docs but I am a little worried regarding my husband's (beneficiary) "present occupation" because he's still looking for a job. He has been working since 2008 til I had my vacation in March 2013 and been looking for job for 4 mons now? Do you think it will affect his immigrant visa application if he is unemployed at this time? But he put N/A to that question, we don't want to lie but hopefully it won't affect him getting a visa. Thanks!
