Got the case complete status email! Exactly after 7 days.

We haven't received any email regarding our case completion. Do I need to worry? CC date is Sept 26.

Relax people. They will still process visa applications if govt shutdown will happen.

What kind of civil docs did you send with the ds-260 in the iv package?

Birth certificate

Marriage certificate

Police clearance

Copy of passport

Passport photos (2)- put your name and case # at the back of each photos

Divorce decrees if divorced

Prison and court records (if applicable)

You can send your AOS first if you want after paying the fee and printing your AOS coversheet. But if AOS and IV fee are available at same time then you can send both. Remember, you should do the ds260 now and only send your civil docs and IV coversheet to NVC.

Really? It would be great if they responded within 20 days. I called couple of days back and they were still saying 30 days. Hope they do it within 20

Now they are saying 30 business days but they're processing it for 15 business days because my husband called NVC and they said that we are case complete. Today is the 15th day since I submitted ds260. Of course it depends on when they entered your civil docs into their system. Goodluck!

same here Tinjf10. i also would like to know if anybody's 260 has been accepted. we submitted 260 on sep 10. when did u submit ur 260?

I submitted mine on Sept 5. I called yesterday and they said wait for 20 business days. Not 30days but 20 is what they explained.

Anybody who submitted DS260 and got accepted? It's taking 15days for the AOS to be reviewed. i just want to see about the ds260. Thanks.

Thank you Atlantic city ... today my DS-230/260 Package was approved but still missing the affidavit approval ... I have faith everything will be OK.

So they accepted the DS260 in 15 days? I got confused with the DS230 date. Like you, I'm waiting for my DS260 to be accepted.

Does NVC send email regarding IV package being accepted or do I have to call for that?

After you paid your AOS fee, you can send your AOS package. Print your AOS coversheet after paying and include it in your AOS package. You have to wait for your case number and Invoice identification # before you can pay your AOS.

I did it too! I've filled both docs. I have a copy of the two forms sent and there are the correct data right there! My husband just called NVC and they told him we have to fix the information anyway.

Hey guys, I just got another checklist. Now they are saying that there's a gap in my residence history of more than six months since I was 16, what's not true! I checked both forms that I've filled (DS-230/DS-260) I there is correct. My husband is also saying that the checklist for his AOS must be also wrong, because all data on the form match with the documents sent. What should we do?? Is anybody passing through the same situation?? * FRUSTRATED *

That's what happened to me too when I submitted the DS230. So I submitted the DS260, hopefully I won't get another checklist because I double checked it with NVC when I filled out the ds260.

Well, in fact the countdown starts when they got your ds260 and your IV docs as well. They won't start checking your ds260 unless your IV docs have been registered for review.

I had a checklist for my ds230 that's why I submitted the ds260. They already have my civil docs entered into their system when they reviewed my ds230. So I'm just assuming that I will begin counting from the day I submited my ds260 since they already have the civil docs in their system.

I guess the countdown starts when I submitted the DS260.

Does NVC has to enter the DS260 in their system since it's online? Or can I start counting from the day I submitted the DS260?

Don't forget to mail in the form because the embassy would require that it has the petitioner's and/or joint sponsor's original signature/s.

The petitioner needs to fill out I864 again for the beneficiary's copy? Along with the w2 and ITR for 3yrs?

Some get IL same day as case was complete, some get in 20 days and some get in 60 days. It is totally dependent on Embassy backlog and visa availability (cut-off date). So no, 45-60 days is not a general rule of thumb.

I agree. They send out IL's last week to 1st week of each month. The waiting time depends on how your embassy is processing cases. We just wait and hope for no retrogression for Nov VB. Good luck to us! I'm waiting for case completion.

You have to call NVC and ask them if they already received your case. It takes approx 3 weeks now to get a case number. Goodluck

Im waiting for my iv processing fee invoice its been 5 days now after sending my ds261....!!!in their system is not yet available, is there any possible that i can pay now?

It is taking 3 weeks now for them to accept your ds261. You can't do anything but to wait till they generate your AOS and IV invoice so you can pay. For the meantime, you can prepare your forms and civil documents.
