  1. Apply for I-130 as soon as you can. That way you will save couple of months by the time you are citizen. Once your I-130 is approved (could take anywhere from 5 to 10) months, USCIS will send it to NVC where it will sit until your priority date. But the good thing is once you become a citizen you will just go through NVC and not deal with USCIS anymore. Huge time saver. NVC could take 2-3 months, but at least it's not the same as waiting for I 130 all through 5-10 months, and than going through NVC.

    Good luck!

Thank you all for ur reply. Yeah that is my plan right now. I will apply for my citizenship probably 1st week of february 2013 and hopefully it'll be quick.

So all I need to prepare are:

    I-130

    G325A

    Copy of passport (both)

Copy of birth cert - it's ok if its not NSO right?

    Marriage cert

    Passport photos

    Did I miss anything else?

And also we don't have any joint account, I only have photos and travel receipts. Will that be enough for proof of our relationship?

  2. I'm new here and I'm sorry if this topic is a repeat but I just want to know the detailed requirements since I am just new at this. I just want to send all the needed documents to avoid delays. I am a permanent resident and just got married. Although I am eligible to apply for my citizenship next year, I chose to start the petition now and expedite it after my naturalization.

Since all of u are the expert to this, can you verify all the requirements that I need to prepare? Thanks in advance!
