Please help me with I-864 questions:
My wife is sponsoring myself and my daughter.
1. We're submitting her Tax Transcripts (last 3 yrs)+ 2011 W2 + last 6 months pay stubs+ Employer Letter
Will that be sufficient?
2. Letter from employer states hourly rate. How i can put annual income (in Q23) ?
3. Do i need to submit my last year tax returns (for I-864 or otherwise). We are NOT including my income.
4. For Q8 (I am sponsoring the principal immigrant in part 2(Part 2 is Info about Principal Immigrant): i checkd.
Then there is Yes No under that. Do i need to say Yes or No here?
5. I believe wife needs to fill separate I-864 for daughter. Am i right? In that case...
a. do we need to attach her Tax Transcripts (last 3 yrs)+ 2011 W2 + last 6 months pay stubs+ Employer Letter again?
b. Part 2 is Info about Principal Immigrant. This time it'll be my name or daughter's name? She is under 14.
Thanks a lot !

i really hope so..this is what it said in the letter btw....
"your case is being held for file review and you will receive a decision within 180 days. you do not need to submit any additional information at this time."
In order to get help, Please post the details like what you've submitted with application, interview experience, any red flags etc
Good luck

LOL, I can understand.
Relax and all the best at the next interview!
I read your interview experience.
Thanks for posting in detail !
My date of Birth was not found at the local govt agency. So, i have 'Non-Traceable' certificate for birth certificate in punjabi(local language) and translated version in English.
Will that be sufficient?
Thanks for your !!!

Congrats
I am also thinking of having a attorney for interview. How much they usually charge?
Thats a good idea. It depends upon where you live and the how reputed the attorney is.
BTW, what we need to do (in order to inform USCIS) if we want to take some attorney at the interview?
-
A bit out of my range of knowledge with naturalization. Does she have a US passport? Some advise to put unknown in certificate number, and submit a copy of the US passport instead. Wait up and see what other replies rolls in.
She has US passport. Still not clear...

In Q.13: If you're US citizen, Complete the following:
a- Birth in the USA (Definitely No)
b- Naturalization. Give certificate number & date, & place of issuance (She lost her Naturalization certificate)
c- Parents. Have you obtained a certificate of Citizenship in yr own name:
> Yes (Give certificate number & date, & place of issuance)
> No
My wife got GC thro' her father. So, what she should put here?
thanks !

If i want to take any attorney at AOS interview, do i need to do anything now?
Need to mention anything in the forms?
Thanks !!

Please help me with more opinions on I-485:
> C/O - okay to put NONE? Or better to put my USC wife's name?
> Though i am out of status now,but i entered on H1B and was in status couple of months back...
- What should i put in " Current USCIS Status" ? (H1B or H1B (out of status) or something else?
> Where to find VISA Number I see couple of numbers on my H1 stamping but which one is Visa Number?
> My wife changed her last name on marriage certificate. So, what i would here as her last name, new one or original one?
Thank you guys for your kind replies (and your patience with my silly questions )
God Bless !!

Just receive the notice that says ,the immigration office cannot complete my request because of uncompleted evidence.i did not include my i693 with the packet. Please help with the Civil surgeonsin washington d.c area.
Notice says so?
Was there any specific reason that you didn't include I-693?
As this will delay your processing more as compared if you would have put that in first place
-
Thanks,
I've got the 1040 and W2. No pay stubs - are they necessary at all?
To show the person is still working...

...my 2 cents....

Do we need to send copies of SSN of beneficiary and USC?
-
For photos when we send 15-20 photos with package, is it good to mention something at the back of photos?
(not DOG photos... )
Did you highlighted the names on the bills or statements?
@DandT14 - What items do you think are good to carry at the interview directly?
-
As others suggested, follow the instructions. Each form should state if any photos must be included and if so how many.
If you send less than required expect to get RFE.
Good luck.
7 for Immigrant and 1 for USC. Its not going to hurt if you send 1-2 more photos
but other way round can
-
Gah, 2-3 albums? No way
My whole submission was about 1/4" thick. 2-3 photo albums would be around 3" thick by themselves!
I meant to take to interview not to sent with package.
BTW, what you say for photos@ Interview?
Thanks !
-
-
The one we used gave us a copy, along with instructions telling us it was good for one year, don't open, etc. I was glad we got a copy, otherwise that sealed envelope would have haunted me until it was mailed off. (Which took 11 months and 15 days.)
Glad you mailed out 15 days before and saved $500
Do you think i should ask my doctor copy of this? Is there any use of this later?
thanks !
-
They have your file at the interview - silly
And you can always send a photocopy or photocopy said item for the interview
Thanks for your valuable thoughts !
We shifted to new house after the old lease expired about 4 months ago. Do you think its better to organize all these
docs 'address' wise or just put all of them in the envelope...or may be organize all docs just
year wise (putting tabs or something)
What u say
Also, for photos what you guys did? You made 2-3 albums or photo book something (would be nice i guess)?
Cheers
-
You misunderstand. You must get your medical done NOW and send the results from the Civil Surgeon in with your initial package. The Civil Surgeon will put the results in a sealed envelope for you, and you send the sealed envelope (don't open it!) in with your initial package.
Do Civil Surgeon supposed to provide you copy of the completed forms before sealing?
-
Wondering how much evidences/documents are sufficient/appropriate to provide with AOS package?
We got married couple of months back but we are living together for over 2 years. Hence, have joint accounts like bank, credit cards, Utilities, leases etc for over 2 years.
Now, these bank & credit card statements, utility bills we get every month. So, how many i should send with the package?
Also, how many letters (joint & solo) should i send?
Same with photos. We have ton of photos together. How many, and what kind of photos will be good to send along with package?
Kind of confused
Idea is to use all these evidences wisely. I understand that 'more is not always good'
Good luck to all members !!

I paid with two "Scooby Doo" cheques.
I would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for those meddling kids.
I have Tom & Jerry checks. I guess i'l those...

Hi beautiful members, we have gathered all the necessary Documents and ready to send them off finally to the USCIS. But there is one main question i need an urgent answer to before i fill my petition. Do we pack the documents for I130 & i485 in separate Envelops or all in one main envelop?
Please advice.
thanks
Use paper clips to hold separate forms (I-130 & I-485) & related documents together, put in separate envelopes and then put them in one big envelope. Mark it 'Concurrent filing of...."
Hope that helps !
