You didn't say which visa you're adjusting from and it does make a difference. I would suggest you join the April filers progress report (here) for comparison. Some of them have got their interview but there are a few still waiting.

Which visa are you adjusting from? Did you get a notice that your case was transferred to CSC?

I just got a text. My interview is scheduled for August 15.

... So, now I know that I was right the question becomes how do I get it fixed? I have forwarded the information to my lawyer and hopefully we will find someone with the authority to get the matter resolved.

Sorry for not sugarcoating; I don't believe I have been rude or disrespectful to anybody on these boards.

A cover letter is not required but I have no doubt it is very helpul. It helps the person opening your package make sure they have not misplaced any documents. Think of your cover letter as a "Receiving" checklist for them.

After spending all the time, energy and money preparing the package, it WILL NOT hurt to have a cover letter.

It's ok to file for and/or pay for an expedited process but those who do so should disclose it so they don't give the rest false hope.

Got an update text/email yesterday that my requested evidence has been received by USCIS and my case will begin processing again. Nothing earth-shattering, but it is good to know that my evidence arrived safely. Now back to my regularly scheduled waiting.

It's good they did receive it; that should put you back on track to be scheduled for your interview. Concerning the EAD, I'm at a lost right now; I thought I had it figured out but apparently my estimates were wrong. I'm still waiting on my EAD approval.

Ok, so I filled our papers on May 1st, got the Biometrics appointment on June 6 and now I have already received the appointment for the initial interview on August 8. I notice that all you guys are getting your EAD's and am wondering how come I still did not get mine. Anyone, any thought on it?

When did they receive your package? The EAD approval time is creeping up slowly and I suspect it depends on the location too. You're not alone, I'm going to post an updated progress report below.

OKAY THIS IS STRANGE... MY FIRST CARD/DOCUMENT PRODUCTION EMAIL CAME IN SAYING ON JULY 3,2012 THEY ORDER PRODUCTION OF MY NEW CARD... THAT WAS 4 HOURS AFTER MY INTERVIEW... AND TODAY THEY SENT ME THE SAME EMAIL, BUT EXCEPT IT SAY ON JULY 9,2012 WE ORDER PRODUCTION OF YOUR NEW CARD... WHY TWO DIFFERENT DATES.. I THOUGHT ON JULY 3, 2012 THEY'VE ALREADY ORDER IT.... Relax George, everything is working fine! The same question has been asked many time in this thread; it's just the way their notification system works. Your next email will be "card mailed" and "card picked up".

You know, I didn't get online notification either. Or SMS. I wonder if that is just something that they are not using at the moment.

Create an account at the USCIS website, add all your receipt numbers and make sure text/email notifications are activated for each one of them (they do forget sometimes)

I haven't received any updates or touches on my employment authorization.... My interview is coming so I am worried now...

Which visa are you adjusting status from? When is your interview? You should get your EAD approval this week. No need to worry if you haven't got your EAD for the interview; that happens once in a while.

... So do you also know how long it takes to be a citizen? Does it start counting from the date you get your greencard or from the time you arrived in US for whatever purpose?

Yes, your eligibility to become a citizen depends on the day you obtain your GC:

1) 3 years after the GC if you're still married to the USC

2) 5 years after the GC if you're no longer married to the USC

What's ROC?

Does a greencard have an expiration? Anything we do after receiving greencard? Because I saw some reapplying for one?

Why pull the old summary without the update? it leads to confusion.

ROC means Removal Of Condition.

If you obtain a GC through marriage but you haven't been married yet for 2 years, you get a two years conditional green card. 90 days before the expiration of that card, you can apply to remove the condition and get a 10 years GC. All green cards have an expiration date.

Received the notification today that USPS had picked up my EAD.

Assuming it takes the usual 2 days for me to receive their mail, I will probably get it on Monday and be able to look at it for 24 hours before they take it from me on Tuesday.

Make a color copy as a souvenir. I don't think that was the purpose of the EAD when they devised it; they need to rethink their processing.
