I have something that is kinda concerning me a little bit. My husband and I have no joint account, nothing material in our name as he still a student and make no money at all (my mother-in-law is the main sponsor). Should I just bring additional pictures of us, from the time we submitted the application until now? We made few trips with friends and have pictures of it. Also should I really bring the original documents for the interview? Did they keep the copies at all?

P.S: I got my EAD by mail yesterday 7.24.2012.

I would suggest to bring as many documents showing comingling as you can but keep in mind it all depends on the particular IO you face. He looked at the 10 pics I had included with the application and asked if we had more: I had brought 50 additional pictures. I made sure most of the pics showed us with friends and families.

Bring the original documents to the interview because you never know what they're going to verify (marriage certificate,birth certificate).The only original my IO asked to see was the I-94, he looked at it, certified with a stamp the color copy I had filed and returned the original to me.

It's Day 41 (working days only) for me and nothing after biometrics.. Should I call or do something? I'm kinda worried.

The pattern shows most interview notifications coming in between 45-60 days after the package delivery. You are approaching 60 days, I hope you get your interview soon. You shouldn't be overly concerned yet and I doubt a call to USCIS would do any good at this juncture.

Nope, nada .. I read a bunch of NYC reviews and it seems that this particular IO operates like that. Many ppl receive notice in 2 -4 days following the interview. Hoping and stressing SOOOO MUCH

Relax, you will be fine. Reading your interview summary, I sense everything is well.Don't stress about the EAD because many people get to keep them.

My mom received card production email this weekend on July 21 yes on a Saturday morning at 8:15 she's very excited.

Thank you to all. We had our interview this morning, it took about 20 minutes and we were told to expect the GC within a month. I just received a text and and email stating we have been APPROVED. Glory be to God.

hi i just wanna ask because i found that in the form i-130 there is a questions there for present imployment should i leave it blank even though im working but dont have yet the papers and since before i got married i am a visitor visa holder..coz what happend is im a j1 visa that time m working already but i change my status to b2 visa for my travel and when i get married my employer ask me to come back to work..

Penguin_ie asked you a very important question: is your spouse a US citizen? From what I understand you overstayed a B2 visa and you will not be able to adjust status in the USA if your spouse is not a citizen. In case she's a citizen, just go ahead and do a concurrent AOS filing through the Chicago Lockbox. Follow this guide concurrent filing

Your case was transferred to CSC which make me believe you're adjusting from a K1 visa. If that's correct, you may not have an interview and you may want to follow this thread for updates. Same scenario with ChT.

I had my interview a few days ago. It went well. We waited for a long time but the actual interview was only about 20 minutes. The interviewer was very nice. She asked how we met, how long we have known each other and how long we have been dating. Nothing tricky. She was a little shocked with how little conjoint properties we have (we only had a lease) but she understood that we have only been married for a few months and everything takes time. I think as long as you are legitimate everything should just work out. My I130 was approved but I still need to mail in my EAD card once I receive it for I485 approval. It was "in production" during my interview time.

What is missing with your I-485? you didn't elaborate.

Certainly very unusual but sadly not unheard of.

It might have been for something your IO forgot. Did they take your I-94? Did you have a long-form birth certificate to show them?

If they're requesting your I-94, make sure you keep a certified color copy (front and back) before you mail it

I'm missing the biometrics fee for I-485.

You only need to send one (1) biometric fee of $85 for the I-485 application; the I-765 doesn't require a fee or a separate biometrics.

It seems like there are a lot of misunderstanding here. The OP seems to be the non-USC (on a valid F1) visa, planning to marry a USC living in California. My mom had her bio on May 22 how long will it take for her to get her Ead card . She hasn't been saying but i think she has given up. Do you guys think it will help if my sister contact the military help line . Her husband is in the military.

The EAD process doesn't seem to be following a logical timeline; as the chart can show, most people are still waiting on theirs. If I remember correctly, your mom is adjusting from a K1 so it might be heplful to compare to the others going through the same process (here).
