HEEELLLPPP~!!!! For those that were done with interviews, did you haveto bring your hard copy of the interview notification letter? Did it say to bring the letter? I CANT FIND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *FREAKS OUT BIG TIME* :crying: :crying: :crying:

If you can't find it, make sure you bring your NOAs with the cases number. Don't just drop them into a box, talk to someone after you pass through security. Good luck.

Interview in San Francisco this morning - approved! Officer was friendly, no tough questions. We didn't have a copy of our lease due to incompetency of the leasing agency, and he accepted that explanation (+ a copy of cancelled rent check from joint account)

Thank you very much for your post! Our local office is in Norfolk as well and it is very comforting to know that they where nice to you.

So you didn't change your name before applying for AOS? That's my case. I just put my maiden name in everything and haven't changed in the social security etc yet.. Did you have you name changed in your marriage certificate? For some reason in VA they don't change our name when we get married. We have to ask in court after receiving the GC (weird!).

Congrats, you are very lucky, I've been waiting to get my card since 8/15 but it looks like it was either lost or never mailed, have been calling USCIS everyday and finally today level 2 agent opened up a service request to check what is going on but they have 2 weeks to respond to that, so it looks like I'm traveling with just my I-551 stamp this Sunday and hoping that I will not have to file I-90 and pay another $450 to replace the card after I come back What a nightmare...

You shouldn't have to pay the fee. There was an April filer who went through the same ordeal but after contacting his post office and a lot of legwork, he was able to get the card (See link). May I suggest posting your issue in the main AOS forum so you can have more experienced advice?

If I were you, I would be more concerned by the conservatives scaring you into lining up behind policies that will ultimately lead to your own demise. Did your EAD card come via priority mail just like your GC or 1st class mail? it's been a week since I got the "we mailed your card" text without getting "picked up by USPS" text and I'am trying to get the tracking number but it was not assigned. They can't even tell me if it was picked up by USPS or if it still laying in the USCIS office somewhere, just being told to wait 30 days for delivery.

Both were mailed "priority" and when I called, they provided me both tracking numbers, even though the moron on the phone was arguing that I didn't need the EAD tracking number since they had mailed me the GC. When I asked to talk to a supervisor, he figured it wouldn't hurt him to provide me the number.

At the interview, the IO was very nice. He went to office with my wife while I was waiting outside the office. After 5 minutes he came out and asked for my wife's passport and stamped it.

So I went with him in the office and we were only talking about travelling and other stuffs not related to the interview. Wife told me he only asked for my name, date of birth and day of our wedding.

Diadieuf! That was fast, naturalization on May 21th and applying for AOS on May 22nd; gaw nga de!

Besides all your tribulations, you sound like a strong young man. Don't give up, you will turn your family bad luck around. Praying for you.
