Question for a friend :Annullment process in Philippines

Young man (I'm guessing), virginity is highly overrated. Would you want a first time cook to make your dinner? I can't imagine anyone being keen on a virgin bride unless they feared their performance would be lacking by comparison to others.

    Remarriage in Philippines

I honestly don't know what's involved in getting it sorted for marriage in the Philippines under this fact pattern. My gut tells me that the less you have to deal with Filipino bureaucracy, the faster it will be and the less stressed you'll both be. Off the top of my head, I'd suggest going the fiancee route.
  3. I've never called anyone 'the anti-christ.' I'm not part of that whole wackaloon xtian right thing. You must be thinking of someone else. As to the rest? Whatever. I moved heaven and earth to be with the person I love, and would do so again. Yeah, I find it utterly mind-boggling that anyone would choose to stay not to walk away from an employment contract rather than be with the person they love. Additionally, having poked around on the net for a few, it seems those kind of draconian contract provisions are virtually unenforceable in Germany in any case. Therefore, this is an entirely self-inflicted wound.
  4. Really??? Just walk away from your job and get on a plane. Sheesh.
  5. Thanks! They told us 2 weeks....
  6. Thanks, good to know. Were you given a tracking number after the embassy interview? We were not - I'm concerned we may have missed something.
  7. Again does anyone know if you get notified when the US passport is sent???
  8. Thanks, but...this is for a brand new passport for our infant son, so we don't have a passport number or case number....
  9. Does anyone know how the passport can be tracked? We filled out the Air21 form, but no tracking number provided. I looked online but the embassy page has a broken link to tracking info, and still talks about 2go as the courier.

    Odd request from Manila embassy

So everything got approved without any issues. Does anyone know how the passport can be tracked? We filled out the Air21 form, but no tracking number provided. I looked online but the embassy page has a broken link to tracking info, and still talks about 2go as the courier.

    Odd request from Manila embassy

They wrote me back, and are asking for pictures. Have tons of them, and will bring them, but it still seems as if these instructions are being given by someone who is failing to notice that we sent in copies of both of our US passports. It's as if they're looking at the instructions where there is a foreign spouse in the mix. Yep, it's bonkers. I guess I'll bring our wedding pictures and pictures of us with our 8 year old son, along with his U.S. passport, my wife's naturalization certificate, and copies of the NOA for her greencard from way back when. Whole think makes zero sense - without having a relationship with her prior to our new baby's birth, how do they suppose I managed to petition her and bring her to the U.S. as my spouse back in 2011?

  13. "During our review of your mail-in packet, we found that you are still missing the following documents: Evidence of parents’ relationship prior to the date of conception. What are they looking for? We're both U.S. citizens. I don't understand what they are looking for here. My wife wanted to give birth in the Philippines so she would have help etc. I thought this sort of evidence was only asked for in the case of a non-citizen parent? What's the deal with this? Anyone? Thanks.
