You only need one, but I have 2, because you never know, you might lose it, I have one in my folder, and one in my back up folder in the safe. They give you back the certificate once medical is done.

For us where my wife is from India, the medical can be done only after we receive and interview letter. We need to present that to the medical institution for the medical check up.

Wait until NVC finishes and schedules your interview is the process for CR1s going through NVC.

I visited 4 times after the petition went in, the last time was while waiting for an interview date. Had NO issues, at POE Newark, Houston or Dallas. No one seemed to know that there was a Petition in for me, i was not asked any leading questions about who I was visiting.

Check out this long running thread about visiting the US whilst going through the immigration process (it is under the K1 area but is still relevant to I-130):
    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/67796-yes-you-can-visit/
And here is a checklist of things to show their ties to the UK:

    http://www.visajourn...content/k1visit

Most trips to the US go without a hitch but it is best to be prepared - people have been denied entry to the US because they could not demonstrate that they had to go back to the UK (i.e. it looked like they had immediate immigrant intent).

My understanding is you have to go home. You can stay the allotted time you are allowed in the country, but you have to return home. You can file as a fiance if you are not married or you can file as a spouse if you get married. You can visit back and forth during the process, but only as you normally would. You don't want to overstay or you may have to submit a waiver which will delay you visa even more.

You could ask her join on VJ website, perhaps? More details about the case from first hands would give information others here to help her.

I think everybody in this thread needs to keep their opinions to themselves.
If those involved wanted your opinion on their relationship, they would have asked.

I am so sorry to hear about your situation. Just remember that if you choose not to do the abortion that there are people in this world who would adopt your child if you feel you can't raise it, but in the end this decision is yours. Don't let people try to sway you. You know your family history, you know where you are in life, and you know how your life will be with your final decision. Only you can make that choice.
Find some friends and family that are supportive and talk to them.
Again, I am so sorry about your situation.

    Angela256z reacted to Nich-Nick in I-134 vs I-864
A spouse visa is an immigrant visa, meaning resulting in a greencard. That requires an I-864 from the sponsor.
A fiancé visa is a non-immigrant visa, meaning resulting in admission to the US. The US fiancé provides an I-134 to sponsor the visa. . Later after the marriage, to get the greencard, the US (now) spouse provides an I-864 for the greencard application.
The British person never fills out either form.

Hi - yes go ahead it's valid for a year once you have it, and it takes a couple of weeks to come back to you.
I got mine just a few weeks after we submitted the original petition and the timeline was fine.

How do I make sure that all the packets come to me in the US? I prefer to receive everything first so that I can fill it out for my fiance and then send it to him. Do I put his address as my US one? Can I do that even though he does not live or reside in the US?
