We met August 23, 2008 on Myspace, lol. We started out as friends and it quickly grew into more. Spent many hours chatting, emailing and talking on the phone. I flew over for his birthday September 2010, after promising his mum I was coming. My trip was short due to financial reasons, and we wed while I was there. I came home, hired an attorney and began the process of paperwork, which we submitted in December. Almost a year after starting the process we had our interview date, for which he was denied. Now we await the NOIR, and I am planning another trip over.
Toyin and I are attending a Thanksgiving Red & White Party tonight! He will be able to connect with other Nigerians/Africans and I will be able to meet local wives and girlfriends. We are so excited!!!!
We have this same opportunity on December 15th! I can't wait as well! It's going to be great! Hope you had a good time and Toyin got a lot of networking in.
It was a bust....only 4 girls showed up, and 3 guys and the guys left right away. It appears to me its more of a hook up place than anything, oh well.....we left by 11.
That sincerely sucks...and more sucky news...our Yoruba Christmas Party plans were cancelled. All the tickets sold out! No more seats!!! AWWWW, I'm pouting!
