Darrell&AnA reacted in VISA APPROVED!!! Yeeehaaa
Visa approved one hour ago
Thank you God for this blessing! And thank you to those who shares their experiences here in VJ. Thanks also to those I private messaged to ask questions and replied to me in a very nice way... Good Luck to all of you guys who filed. Don't lose hope
Woke up 4am in the morning for my 6:30am interview appointment today. Got there 5am and the lines are very long already.
Around 9am our number flashed on the screen. Pay the processing fee $230 at the second floor. Then went back at the waiting area again.
After that I did biometric fingerprints and then wait again for the the two interviews. Filipino & American Consuls.
Filipino Consul ( Male, Very Nice)
DS 260- He said that they don't have it on their system. But I told him that I have the confirmation. So they look for it and did everything.
Ask for the original Marriage certificate NSO, My birth certificate and NBI clearance. All originals.
Questions:
Wedding date and place?
How long we've been together?
Travel Abroad?
That's all :=))
American Consul ( Female, Very Nice)
Questions:
Wedding date and place?
How and when did we meet?
If I work abroad.
That's all. She then told me Ma'am, Congratulations your visa is approved

It is important to clarify where the child stands in this process. If the father's name is on the child's birth certificate (whether there was a legal marriage or not) his agreement in writing is necessary for the child to receive a visa. This does not need to be included with your petition but I would strongly advise you have this in hand before filing. If tyke is not possible you need to ask yourself whether the father truly supports his ex- wife's relationship with you and accepts you as the child's step-parent.

No. You must be BOTH free to marry at the time of filing.

i suggest you cease with the snide remarks towards other members immediately. additionally, relying on advice via pm is discouraged as it is not peer reviewed in open forum.

Anyone who's been on VisaJourney for more than five minutes knows that you listen to RyanH's immigration advice.
Niki is also completely correct.
This thread seems to be another case of:
"How do I drive to Omaha? I don't know how to get there."
"Here are the exact directions."
"They're wrong, and you're an idiot."

Perhaps you should ask him/her rather than argue about semantics here.

Darrell&AnA got a reaction from Darnell in Need info to file for a CR-1 for my beautiful and loving Filipina wife
Jesse,
I understand so I am not giving you exactly what to do, but this is what I understand to be very useful.
First off Congratulation on the marriage. I wish you all the best in everything. Now the fun starts.
Since you will be filing a I-130 You need to get used to what is required with it. Find the following links useful.
*****Some of this information will be covering Manila, However, All of this information is useful and supportive to all that is filing the 130.*****
Step 1: If you are filing on your own ( must of us are, including myself, and Disclaimer I am not or do am I affiliated with any Lawyers, or Law firms. ) Learn the process in and out, and have your wife learn it too.

4. http://www.visajourney.com/examples/NVC_Process_Flowchart_v1-2.pdf
Step 2: Proving its a real marriage
80-90% of everyone that marries with the righteous reason of love and happiness. However, there are still some out there that marries for the wrong reason. ( not saying this is your case) but when you understand this, The main job of the Interviewing officer and process is to catch FRAUD. It will make things a lot better and more Simple.
Three rules I been told and seem to be working out true.
You can break this down however you like.
Here are some parts you can include:
1. NSO Marriage Cert ( or your Spouse local legal registry)
2. Province Marriage Cert (legal with the witness Singture)
3. Paperwork to apply for the marriage Cert ( Process paper work and Pre-Marriage Classes)
4. Relationship Development: Passport Stamps, Airline Tickets (Both Trips) Letter Issued from US Emy Manila for marriage eligibility (One You paid US 50 for)
5. Affidavit from verifying the marriage ( From you and your Spouse)
6. Affidavit from witnesses to the relationship/marriage (parents, siblings, other relatives, close friends)
7. Joint bank account letter ( This will be Ideal to have, not everyone can get a joint one, if not, set up Money Transfers from bank to bank. These will connect the two)
8.Evidence of joint life and cohabitation: During the 40 Days you was married and living together, You should have some proof of this.
9. A lease agreement with both of your names on the lease: Since you lived with her parents, you should have them make a notarized letter with a lawyer.
10. Passed and Ongoing Communication: Social Media and Apps like Skype and everything
11. Future Plans of visiting and everything and Pictures.

Darrell&AnA got a reaction from David & Diana R in dont want to wait another 4 or 5 months
I understand and feel your pain, I been away from my spouse for way to long. This might or might not help you, but this is how I kept sane in getting everything together and started.
1. Walk- I walked 10 Miles every other day by the water (helps relax me)
2. Mind Blockers- Find something that brings your joy and do it.
3. Mindset control- In my life business I teach my clients how, what and how they think become how they feel. That becomes how their life results to become. I know it’s hard, but keep a positive mental picture of you and your mate together here.
4. Find a Visa Buddy- Find someone that has been through what you are going through to help and relate too.
5. Just Believe it is going to happen.
Loneliness is one of the hardest feelings to think rational with, this is where having a mental picture and a visa buddy comes in at.
I wish you all the best in everything, It will happen...
Darrell.
