  1. I am making travel arrangements for my fiancé. She just received the visa and I just want to make sure I don't mess up booking her flight. I had a huge hassle flying in due to Orbitz mess up my routing so I am now very careful to double check everything.

For her to get to her point of entry will she need anything more than her stamped passport. I imaging she will connect in Hong Kong or Tokyo, any issues there.

Orbitz routed me though Bejing and really complicated my visit but that is another story. What about the point of entry. I will bring her to the Miami airport but the POE will probably be Chicago, San Francisco or Los Angeles. At POE she will be asked some questions and show the visa and give them the sealed packet? What is the better POE?

    Anything else to know?

    Thanks in advance.
    :)

  2. Congratz !!! :star:

    What lessons did you learn?

My fiance went to the interview knowing she needed a copy of my divorce decree. I had been divorced twice, once after a short term marriage when I was very young. When I filed the applicatioin, I listed the marriage but only sent a ordinary copy of the second decree. I had to respond to an RFA and send copies showing court stamp of both decrees.

But the worst part was not giveing fiance a copy of first decree for the interview. Being so long ago and so short I did not really want to talk about it. She was asked about it at the interview and did not know about my first marriage. I thought I had sent her copy of the petition showing it but I guess I didn't. She was emarrased and hurt because she did not know of the first marriage. I explained to her that it was so long ago, I didn't want to talk about it and, thank God, she got over it and forgave me. However, she had to send a copy of the first decree to the embassy before they would release the visa. I had already sent a certified copy with the RFA and did not think it was needed. Oh well, Thank you God for forgiving our sins and making all new in Christ Jesus.

  3. Having sex with lots of people doesn't matter as long as your husband says it ok and he involves in it. Who haven't gone through what I have then try to marry him and prove me you enter in to a marriage in a good faith I will give you all the 100k I have. All you need to do is whatever he tells you to do and just sit and watch till be beats you to death.

Sorry it's not the case of hottybindu it's the case of Someone bringing here to sell me.

Human trafficing is a serious crime. If he brought you here to sell you contact the state attorney right away. Don't pass go or collect $200.00. Call the state attorney and have him prosecuted right now.

  4. When someone post a difficult situation here most of the responses assume that there is not another side to the story. Well folks, I hate to break this to you but usually there is two sides to a story so when you dole out your advice so freely you may be doing someone a disservice.

Maybe just a pat on the back and a word of encouragement would be nice but to give advice based on a unilateral tale of woe does not seem very wise. How many of us have been in a situation where our actions and character were relayed in an inacrurate manner or a way that lacked true perspective? :(:bonk:

  5. My fiance is going Sunday too. I called hotel to see if it's possible to push out to following Sunday. Not sure about Cebu Pacific (coming from DVO). I'm ready to push it out if necessary but she really wants to get this over with! CFO seminar too.

    BruceL,

I went ahead and got my fiance a ticket for Sunday after hearing the rain was stopping and the clinic was open. She will be flying in from CDO. At present, I have not booked a hotel. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks for the info.

    regards,

  6. Are you based in the US? Did your fiance receive the packet from the embassy already before you made the appointment? September 13 is a month away. Hopefully everything goes well with your journey. We have our MNL number already but my fiance hasnt received the packet from the embassy. Im going to see her 3rd week of September and hopefully she can obtain her visa before i go back to the States so we can come back together by oct 10.

Yes, I am based in the USA. No she has yet to recieve the packet. From reading this board I found out you don't need to wait for the packet and, in fact, somethimes the packet never commes.

I followed the proceedre pretty muc based on the thread on the link below. If you have your NVC number and have paid for the Visa and the embassy has your file, they will set an interview.

  7. :) :) I called tonigh( August 2nd 2012), to set an interview date for my fiance. While I was relieved that they gave us a date it was not as early as I thought it would be. I was givien the earliest date of September 13th.

Is it possible to check to see if earlier dates open up?

Thanks in advance for answers. :) :)

  8. I just recieved the following email.

    _______________________--

We received the electronic file from the State Department's National Visa Center (NVC) on July 27, 2012 and should receive the U.S. Immigration Service-approved visa petition (Form I-129F) shortly.

As soon as we receive the I-129F petition from NVC, the applicant will be notified to contact the Embassy's Visa Call Center to schedule the visa interview appointment.

According to what I read, the applicant may never get the snail mail from the embasy so it is better to call and set the interview.

    Is this correct?

  9. How did this work out? I am trying to work out a schedule with my fiance. Some posters say to wait minimum one week others say wait at least a day or two.

From what I gather those that say wait a week are giving additional time in the event that further and extended testing is needed he interview will not need to be rescheduled. Am I correct?

Is there any new news on this?

  10. Hello everyone,

    Just a reminder:

I wanted to let everyone searching know that if you add your country in the destination box you will find more from your country than I have listed.

    Good Luck to everyone :)

I'm a bit lost in this process. I called NVC on July 19th and was told that my file left for Manila the day before ( July 18th ) I put in EXP 18 JUL2012A . When I push track the format contracts to EXP18JUL2012A and I get the message "no results found." What's wrong. What info should I get and what use is the info?

  11. This is a great post. I just got my MNL number and I was searching for info on how to proceede and found this. Since there was posted some time ago, I will ask if there are any changes.

Also, Is St. Luke's the only place for fiance to get medical exam?

  12. One of the things they are looking for with chat logs is to see who much you talk not exactly what did you say.

Some of our logs were very big. For most of our logs I summited an abbreviated version. It included the date and time of each message but only the first 20 characters of each message. Basically 1 line per message. It will show how much time is devoted to the relationship which is what they really want to know. Keep the full logs only if they actually ask for them.

This sounds like the thing to do. I made sure my fiance had a smartphone and internet plan and we chat through the day and night on yahoo mobile. While we may get a little flirty whe don't get explicity sexual ( its better in real is it not?).

I am not sure how to go about adopting this idea as I have not really played with Yahoo in this regard. Also, I am concerned that my mobile may have just recently been leaving a history.

My phone logs got so much shorter when we went to using yahoo mobile devices. From two or more calls a day to occasional voice calls.

    Anyone else use yahoo mobile?

  13. Hi Naplesguy.

I submitted my NOA on november 14th and still no word.

What email addressed did you use?

I have submitted service requests and received the 60 day email. the 60 days came and went on july 2nd. i placed another service request and got an email back that i don't even understand.

I actually started another link with the response.

Congrats on finally getting the elusive NOA2!!

The link I posted with this topic explains the follow up email process. Also, copied below - you send the first email to the follow up and reference the service request, request number etc and just say the issue is not resolved. After twenty one days and issue is not resolved there is another email address to use. Also, I recomend that you contact your congresperson in the meantime.

    California Service Center: csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov

    -Vermont Service Center: vsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov

    -Nebraska Service Center: ncscfollowup.nsc@dhs.gov

    -Texas Service Center: tsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov

Please note: Emails should be sent to the Service Center that has jurisdiction over your case. The receipt notice will indicate EAC for the Vermont Service Center, SRC for the Texas Service Center, LIN for the Nebraska Service Center, and WAC for the California Service Center.

When contacting the Service Centers by email you will need to provide the information outlined in Step 1. If the NCSC did not issue a service request after your call, please indicate the reason the NCSC representative did not issue the request.

Step 3: In the event you do not receive a response within 21 days of contacting the appropriate Service Center, you may email the USCIS Headquarters Office of Service Center Operations by email at: SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov. You will receive a response from this email address within ten days.

    For more information

Congratulations!!!:dance::dance: May the rest of your journey be smooth as well!

    thank you
