    Public service announcement:
I really hope your petition gets approved soon! Because otherwise, with the state of extreme indignation and high blood pressure that you seem to be in with every last post that you make, your health (and, to be honest, my patience with you) may not stand much more waiting. I would recommend acquiring a new hobby or starting some sort of new project as a way of learning to cope with this unpleasant in-between state (which most people tend to encounter time and time again throughout life, making it worth learning to handle gracefully). Everyone else here is waiting, too, just like you, and most of us manage not to be tied up in knots about it 100% of the time. Breathe.

After this I'm REALLY leaving, I promise! Just poked my head in, only to be hit with a really major case of "I have it SO MUCH HARDER than you" which is ample proof that I should stay gone. Mary, I'm glad you find the idea that he can just come here and hang out until the interview comforting, but a lot of us would be thrilled out of our minds to have that option, vs. having loved ones who have no way of ever setting foot in the US at all anytime ever without this fricking fiance visa.
Be well, everyone. I'll be back at some point.

I don't know which state this individual is in or the specific regulations there. But, there is a lot of middle ground between a courthouse and a big wedding. If the location is a problem: get the marriage license, find out when the minister (or other person qualified to officiate) is available to meet with you briefly, go to the location of your choosing with the officiant and any required witnesses, have a simple ceremony, turn in the paperwork, and then go all out with the big shebang on August 2 or 4 or whenever.
A marriage doesn't have to be accompanied by a big party and the presence of everyone you know to be legal. After having gone through all of the regulatory hurdles to get over here in the first place, it would be a pity to decide to prioritize satisfying precise religious requirements over satisfying regulatory hurdles and risk throwing all of that time/effort away.

If you come from a developing country: ease of travel to developed countries. A US passport gets you no-questions-asked access to a whole lot more of the world than a Ugandan one does. That, and being able to stay outside the US as long as you like without having to worry about jeopardizing your LPR status. Being able to travel and live together wherever we want is the biggest reason Aaron will be going all the way to naturalization once he gets here.

I just read back through all of your many threads on this topic, and all I saw was people being unfailingly helpful in trying to point out potential issues that may arise with the evidence you are planning to present in support of your case. I'm guessing this latest tirade from you is probably going to quash that helpfulness pretty effectively, though. Maybe it's time to take a breather from Teh Internetz if you're getting this worked up about what total strangers say to you in an online forum?
Remember, though: no matter how well or how badly you do at convincing people on VJ of whatever you are trying to prove, it won't make a whit of difference in your immigration process what people at VJ think.
All that matters is the evidence. No, it doesn't feel good to live your life being constantly aware of the necessity of creating evidence along the way for future immigration processes, but it's part of the reality of being in an international relationship, and most of us are used to it by now (or getting there).
