Well, a little update. my husband went to do his fingerprinting. And it all went well they gave him a paper of what he has to have before he can return to the embassy and it is. The DNA test. So we will see what we are gonna do. I will be contacting Laura(senator) when she is back in the office on Monday. I have to send her some emails so she is aware of everything going on but I have spoken to her assistant and they are aware of everything.
The Co told my husband that once they recieve the DNA testing they will finish the process and it will be issued depending on the DNA test. So, i dont know. I am stressed. But I seriously want to belive that GOD is INCONTROL.

His decision is financially motivated. I assumed she would be coming to marry and staying since flying back and forth to Australia 2 times, canceling an already paid for petition and paying to refile another petition is going to get very costly very quickly. I guess I shouldn't assume though.

Is she already in th States?
It's immigration fraud to knowingly come to the US to immigrate on a non-immigration visa. So if she's not already in the states, you probably won't get much help from people on here.

I've got a wedding planning story, too.
2 weeks before 100+ people from all over the country were scheduled to attend our wedding, our venue fell through. Holy hell. I wanted to die, to say the least. Through my blubbering sobs, we tried desperately to figure out a new place for our wedding. A few days later my husband comes home all excited because he has "the perfect idea" for our venue. This is how the story goes:
Husband KC walks in the house.
I'm a mess as I'm sure any bride would be a week and a half before their wedding with no venue.
KC: I have the perfect idea for where we can have our wedding!!!!!!
Me: Really?!?!?! WHERE????
KC: over by lincolnwood (a mall close to our house).
Me: Lincolnwood? Like, the mall?
KC: yeah, it's a restaurant in the mall. It's HUGE and has a big open floor for dancing!!!!
Me: but....in the MALL??? . The only restaurant I know in the mall is Ruby Tuesdays!?!?
KC: noooooo, not Ruby Tuesday's. This is upstairs. Right at the top of the escalators.
Me: (confused as #### look on my face) ...............ummm, are you talking about the FOOD COURT???? LIKE WITH ALL THE FOOD STANDS AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE BIG OPEN ROOM?!?!?!?!

Not true at all. Most of the time a one-way is more expensive than a round trip.
There are a lot of reasons for this.
One being that airlines discount a round trip flight because they know they have your business going both ways. If one ways were cheaper, you may book a flight with one company and then switch to a cheaper one on the way home.
Also, generally one way flights are usually used for business and round trips are used for vacations. The airlines figure that if businesses are paying for it then they can get away with making the prices more expensive. Usually this is a last minute reservation and is desperately needed, so the businesses will pay whatever the airlines tell them to.
The list goes on.

You DO NOT need to leave a balance on your credit cards each month.
Take, for example, cards that REQUIRE you to pay off your balance every month (American Express, Von Maur, etc). Who would own these cards If you got penalized for meeting the terms of the credit card agreement???
- pay your bills on time
- don't use more than 30% of your credit limit
- pay off balance each month

I'm assuming you were under the age of 18 when your parents got married. Correct? The following applies only if you were.
Ummmm, would probably take a minor miracle to get to the states with a visa on September 10.
This is how I see your case going, and this is PURE speculation. Of course no one knows exactly what is going to happen, but this would be BEST CASE scenario....
IF you filed everything correctly and IF everything goes smoothly and IF you got sent to California:
- could possibly get your noa2 any day now (I have seen many people getting approved in 100 days lately at California), but let's say you get approved in a month from now, just to be realistic. So, approved on July 19.
- takes a month to get situated at NVC (now we're at August 19.)
- takes another month for your interview date (now we're at September 19)
- throw in an extra month, just For wiggle room and now we're looking at October 19 as being a more realistic date for visa in hand. And that would probably be the earliest.
If you got sent to Vermont you can expect to add a month or 2 onto you wai for NOA2 which would push everything back a month or 2.
Remember, this is purely going off of what I have seen on this website lately. EVERYTHING can change in the blink of an eye. Things can slow down. Things can speed up. Nothing is ever set in stone when it comes to immigration.
