Sapphirewng got a reaction from ScorpionArcher in Dealing with the stress of waiting
Thank you! I need to work on that. There's so much I need to be doing. I find that I'm neglecting things that I should be doing just because I don't want to be away from him. He tells me all the time that he doesn't want to keep me away from what I need to do. And I know he doesn't. It's just me. I miss him when I'm not talking to him and I know he misses me. It's just a very difficult way to live. We both know we aren't the only ones struggling with this problem, and it helps me so much to hear from others that are dealing with the same thing. I really appreciate all the comments. I pray that this "visa journey" will be over soon for all of us, and that we'll be with the one we love.

Thank you so much for your comment! I know there are many more that are going through the same thing. You're right about noone knowing what it's like except those of us that are going through it. Maybe Mircea and I can come up with some ideas of things we can do to get our minds off of this for awhile. Congratulations on your NOA2! That's GREAT news! I wish you much happiness together!

    You're Welcome.
I hope you can find a way through this and keep your marriage together. I know the entire moving to America adjustment has been very hard on my wife. There have been so many times, I wouldn't even try to count them, that she has become upset and unreasonable about anything. "I will never...", "Send me home", "I miss my family", "I hate....", so many hard things said at times when she was emotionally hurting and home sick. For the most part I've managed to stay calm, avoid feeling hurt (even if I was), and did my best to support and comfort her through her pain. Its working, although she's one of those that will only slowly adjust to life in America. There were times I've felt like just granting her wish and getting her a ticket home. But I know I'm the one that needs to be strong for us when she's feeling weak. And its slowly working. The home sickness and related out bursts have gotten less frequent and less painful for her. Instead of trying to push me away during these times, she's moving towards leaning on me for my support. I guess what I'm trying to say is, its not easy for some to make this big move. They will say and do things they really don't mean in their heart because they're hurting. Try to see if the refusal to attend the biometrics is an emotional reaction response, or really a marriage ending. Its not easy trying to deal with an emotionally hurting spouse, and maybe you don't have it in you to. Only you and your wife know if you two can make it or give up. Good luck to you how ever it turns out.

If you do not like the idea of not checking either box, I went with a combo of checking intend and how it was done on the example form.
I checked intend and then on the line put "K-1 visa process for permanent residence ( provide all expenses as necessary )"
You and your co-sponsor could both do that, or both go with the example form here on VJ and check neither. Whatever you decide, I think it best you and your co-sponsor put the same thing.
Some consulates like to see it done a certain way. You could ask others that went through India what the consulate there likes to see.

Oh, well thank you very much for saying such a nice thing about me. It means a lot to me to hear that . She is giving up a lot to be with me, so I will do the same for her.

Maybe thisis out of topic but I think you are such a great future husband. You are quitting everything you know to give her a chance to spend more time with her family, that is sosweet. Some people in this topic FORGETS that we ( the foreign fiances and spouse) have to quit everything we know to be with our loveone(US citizen). Nobody seems to care everything we have to deal with in order to be here. Maybe some our countries are mot perfect, compare to the US, but still that's our home. I truly love this country but I cant help missing my family, my friends, my culture. I think that's a gesture of true love and can stop thinking that your lady is a very lucky girl. Wishing you the best and tons if blessings in your journey together

We recieved our NOA2 just yesterday. It took us 6 1/2 months! What a terrible feeling it is to have to sit and wait. My heart is with you! Idk why it takes VSC so long, but I definitely agree with the t-shirt idea! Lol!!Me and Mircea pass our time playing Facebook games. Ugh... I'm so sick of Facebook! I wish I had some better advice for you other than to just wait, but I don't. I guess that's all you can do. Try not to dwell too much on it. I guess that's my best advice. I know it's easier said than done though. It's all I can think about. And now we're waiting on the interview. It feels like a neverending wait, but I know this will be over in awhile. It's just very difficult. I feel your pain. Soon you'll have that approval though.

If both of you really wants to get married, nothing can hold you to get married. But there is no guarantee that as you process for another route that it will get approve, it might be put back in AP. But remember if two people truly love each other they make a way to be just in each others arm. Whatever decision both of you choose may the Lord will guide you and bless you both. Good luc and GOD speed!

OMG!!!!! I saw last night that someone said they checked their case status on the USCIS website and they were approved even though they had not recieved an e-mail or text message. So I decided to check mine too, just in case. I've been checking my e-mail at least 4 or 5 times a day for the last few months and my fiance and I have really been getting depressed over the loooong wait. But GUESS WHAT!!! It was there!!! I have my cr-1 petition at the Vermont Service Center since March 26th 2012. I was getting VERY frustrated since they said their processing time was 5 months. I got depressed after I saw a notice on the USCIS website stating they were overloaded with requests and were trying to redistribute the work along among the various centers.
