  1. Post some updates..how are you two adjusting with my Igbo brother?

  2. You are welcome sister. My husband and I went for the IR/CR1. I have found that the process takes about the same amount of time depending on how fast you send in your papers and how fast you can pay the fees. I will say that I've noticed the K1's getting denied(don't know why)If you are sure this is the man for you..marry him and bring your husband home. I'm here if you need adv...

  3. YOUR DAY IS COMMING VERY SOON...WHAT GOD HAS FOR US NO MAN,WOMAN OR SITUATION CAN CHANGE!

  6. Hey girl. I was reading your post. My husbands address changed all I did was call NVC and they changed it over the phone. As for that DS230 my hubby never got his so I scanned mine to his email he signed it and scanned it back to me. I see you are almost at the point of getting your visa application..Yaay Keep Moving!

  7. Iknew you were at home SPAZZING OUT! Relax not everything has to be perfect. I get off at 4:30 so I'm going to call you!

  8. ONE DAY LEFT...HOW ARE YOU HOLDING UP???

  9. You are welcome. We had this same issue with getting his plane ticket which was two thousand. Luckily my friend was able to lend it to me then I cashed in one of my pensions and paid her back. It's rough living apart I know but in the end it will have been worth the fight! They can't stop what God has ordained! later sis

  10. Hello, I saw your plea for any suggestions on the money issue. If you have your 401k and can borrow from it try that. If you have vested in your pension at work there may be a resource to let you borrow from that. If you have an insurance policy you may be able to borrow from that. You could do a small loan (be careful)with whom you use. Hope this helps.

  11. We are going back to Naija in the summer but we will wait to do our Traditional wedding inthe Village when he has his 10yr GC in October of next year. Congrats and many blessings on your journey I see you are at the beginning. It's tough but hang tight it will all fall in place. Glory be to God!

  12. Once he comes here on the K-1 and you marry, continue with your paperwork, he gets his green card and SS Card and EAD. As long as your passport and visa are still valid, his green card will allow his travel. You may go back and do the traditional wedding at anytime. I would wait till I got all that taken care of first then make arragements for the traditial wedding. We remove conditions next year.

  13. YOU ARE WELCOME!

  14. HEY HEY! It's been a while since we have talked what is going on? How are things how is the adjustment going? can't wait to hear back from you!

  15. Thanks for calling...I was so excited to hear from you. Girl, I'm going to find a way to get all of us together if only for a weekend. We all have the same story only the story line is different. Call me later. Oh yea post a new pic! lol

  16. I've learned that he loves his food with the African pepper on it(all food) but I found that he loves Criaccha hot pepper sauce as well. He's adjusting well... but he still has not found work. He's an IT Tech but will take just about anything right now. I think I'm going to have to dumb down the resume. It's driving him madd to sit at home. What's up with you guys?

  17. Waiting on you to update us on the interview. Praying all went well.

  18. Ladybug I am here because I'm still going through and I want to help anyone who needs me not just that we still have to remove conditions. The real journey starts when he gets off that plane. Major adjustments for the both of you and it takes prayer, endurance time and patience and above all love. So when you read my posts it's a peep into our cultural world.

  19. The count donwn continues...faster and faster he's on his way!

  20. I'M LOVING THE PICTURE..! YOU TWO LOOK GREAT TOGETHER!

  21. Hi there! It's been a while and I needed to check in on you guys, how are things progressing? I know it's wonderful being together. We are fine, he's a little down about finding a job but God is faithful it will come. Get back to me when you can...Lagoslove

  22. Thanks sis.. we can all make it if we simply try and work together. No it aint easy but it is possible. Lets lead by example and stay married. Later sis

  23. Today marks 5 months of Prince being in the states. Going home to him everyday if feels longer. He's adjusting well. Learning so much about this country and how different life is between here and Lagos. We've had our first real knock down drag out argument. We've cried at the death of a family member, he's stayed up nights because I was in so much pain. He's still hunting for a job. Finances have been tested yet....we never think about separating. It's not even a topic...

Definitely the way it should be. What God has joined, let no man put asunder. I wish you both long life, all the love and happiness your hearts can hold and prosperity! God Bless!

Gives me hope about being with my husband in the future after this long process. Being together, going through good and bad is what marriage is. Loving someone through it all is what commitment and true love is.

We have such wondrous moments of love and clarity but then we have moments of total misunderstandings which is to be expected men are from Mars women are from Venus...lol
