I want to thank LISSAPHILA for hosting the RCHOA" REAL CHARLOTTE HOUSEWIVES OF AFRICA 'S Memorial Day cookout. The Hubbies had the time of their lives together giving them a sense of back home. A special shout out to IMVICTORIOUS and her new husband who just joined the group. Can't wait for the next get together cause the fun is outrageous!

I want to talk about ADJUSTING TO EACH OTHER because once he/she is home it's different love story. I advise you to like who you marry. Love simply isn't enough to make it thru. Once the romance of travel, letters, emails and webcams becomes Honey I'm home we have to adjust. Adjust to everything from food to sleeping. Respecting each others cultures but not completely changing yourself or expecting them to change. HONESTY IN CONVERSATION WILL OPEN THE EARS AND THE HEART.

I came home sick. I came home disheartened about situations at my job, I came home like I used to come home when he wasn't here. I wanted to climb in bed and let the silence take me. I got out the car, he came outside to greet me. He saw my face, held my hand walked me inside. Sat me down and opened his arms...rocked me like a child and said... I got your back! I've never had that before. My God this man is real. I closed my eyes and I exhaled.

still planning for our girls night out... I'lll have a date for june..be ready. Husband said he had such a good time with Ola,Shaddy and Eric on Friday.

Well half your day is over already. I stayed over at work last night 6.5hrs and I'll be doing it again to night for another 6.5 hours all together 29.5 for the last two weeks. I'm dead on my feet! call me in the am I'll need to talk so I can stay awake lol

Today the atmophere has shaken in two wonderful directions. Today is my oldest son's birthday so Happy Birthday Tristian! and my girl Olomi811's husband was approved for his visa. Family God is still performing miracles and blessing us with the gift of life. I'm so happy and proud to be called Mother and joyful to be called sister and friend. My prayers are continuous for each of you with love and Care...LagosLove!

WOW GIRL..I'm so sorry he didn't like the sauce. It's hot and spicy thought he'd go for something close. Now all he has to do is get someone to send him the ground pepper from home and he'll be just fine. All is well still hunting but it's all good!

I saw your post on age. I'm older than my husband as many more women are here on VJ. Saying that.. There should be no problem about age with you and your husband. I know people talk about child bearing but that was never brought up in my husbands interview nor another VJ member who is older. You both are of a certain age and if you decided for or against kids will be just okay.

CONGRATS ON YOUR APPROVAL! I searched high and low for incomming international flights that were reasonable. We finally decided on Delta, direct flight $1600 down from $2000. If you wait till the week of the flight the tickets are cheaper. You will have to call Delta for rates at 1-800-241-4141. Let us know about your POE? Excited for you both
