Yes, doesn’t make sense at all. I think depends on your field office. I was tho that maybe interviews are assigned based on how applied first. I really thought you were going to get an interview notice before me giving that you applied on the first of the month.

On March 4 interview scheduled for April 18, Philadelphia FO
 
PD: Processing time change again, went from 7 to 4 to 3 and again to 7 months as of today 03-06-24

Thanks! No, my gc is expiring this year so after years of procrastination I decided to apply for citizenship. Looks like my field office is Overland Park, Kansas.

Today I received my interview notice. Interview is scheduled for April 10th. 

Not required, it seems many people bring them to the interview instead. Filing and paying your taxes is a requirement to become a citizen so they can ask for proof that you did.

I Submitted my N-400 on 02/29/2024. I found the receipt and bio metrics reuse on my account right away.I am in Fairfax VA. Case is being actively reviewed since submission and estimated time to decision updated to 5 months (from 7 months)!

No, it's not necessary. But it is recommended. 

Working on adding "unsolicited evidence" to my N-400 here and specifically tax transcripts. I've been a LPR for 12 years and applied under the 5-year rule. I have a couple questions:
 
- I got our return transcripts for the last 3 years online and noticed the names and address are partial only. Seems to be a recent policy from the IRS to protect personal information by masking full names. I assume that this is not a problem for the USCIS? I didn't see any option to order un-redacted transcripts.
 
- Has anybody recently filed Form 4506-T with the IRS to get transcripts older than 3 years? I'm wondering how long it takes.
 
- Finally, in my case would you submit return transcripts for the last 5 years, or for every year since my ROC (that would be 10 years)?

Filed Feb 18/24. Same deal - went to go renew my GC and it kept prompting me to apply for citizenship. It was surprisingly easy, so here I am too! Timeline in CO = 5 months. 
 
I have questions:
-I asked this in the tax thread - is it necessary to upload tax docs? It didn't ask for any of those.
-Since our biometrics are being re-used, where/when do we get the photo?
-How would one go about requesting for alternate oath?
 
 

Last time we ordered tax transcripts was for my ROC in 2014, and back then they showed full names and address. I vividly remember because the IRS had made a creative mistake on our street name. Imagine something like "Hanksman st" instead of "Huntsman st". I had to write a whole letter explaining that they wouldn't correct their mistake on any past year transcript to add to my ROC packet, SMH.

I filed February 15th and had my interview notice arrive a couple of days ago (dated 27th February). Interview is set for April 9th
 
Excited! But it's all going very quickly.

It will not be an issue, and even if you had forgotten to upload it altogether it would have no impact on the timeliness that your interview is scheduled. If you had not uploaded a certificate at all, that might have been an issue. Just bring a copy with you to your interview as well, and again no big deal. 

@Laure&Colin On your comment about late Jan filers, I filed on Jan 30th and I received my interview date 2 weeks ago which will be April 8th.

Looks like some people in the January tread who applied towards the end of the month got their interviews scheduled. Crossing my fingers for some updates for us in the next couple of weeks!
Anyone tried to connect to the USCIS website today? I have 2-step verification enabled and it didn't ask for a code. Just went straight to my account after entering my password. Not great security-wise...

Hey all,
I was writing earlier that I applied on February 22nd, in NYC, under 3 year rule and after vawa approved, and did not get any Bio reuse notice, so guess what, 2 days ago the status of the case changed to Actively reviewed by USCIS. And today I just logged in to my Uscis account and checked the Notices, and noticed the Biometrics reuse notice! 
 
So, now my timeline is as follows:
February 22nd - filed N400 online in NYC, receipt notice right away
February 29th - Case status changed to “Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS”
February 29th - Notice of Biometrics reuse appeared under Notices tab
 

THERE'S NOTHING FOR YOU TO WORRY ABOUT!! You are eligible to apply for citizenship  if you've been a permanent resident for at least 5 years (3 if married to a US citizen). That's the minimum, but you can apply at any time after that. I just applied in February and I've had a green card for 12 years.
Most people here apply as early as they are able to, but there's no downside to applying later. I personally didn't feel the need to apply, I also just did it because my 10-year green card is expiring.
