Everything I ever wanted or could dream of wanting in my wife, everything I ever wanted to feel for my wife, everything I ever wanted my wife to feel for me, she has it and makes me feel it, and she feels it, and she loves me unconditionally, the good and the bad, I trust her 100 and I feel safe with her, our relationship is far from perfect and we have both been tested in our time together, but we reconcile and continue in the noble pursuit and experience of love and faith, and we feel very positive and hopeful for our future together amidst all of the uncertainty in these life altering circumstances we find ourselves in, we feel good about Chapter 2 when she arrives to the US based upon the foundation we've built together and our capacity to make love a verb with each other and the icing on the cake is she is a super sweet, sexy Colombiana, my favorite...

Hi: I made 2 mistakes on my I-130 submission. I did not list my name in the same section you are referencing as the husband of my wife. I also completely forgot I filed for my father like 10 years ago, I did not pay much attention 10 years ago. After I submitted the application, I started thinking, then I called my dad, and he said yes, I did file a I-130 for him 10 years ago. He provided me with all the case information. I called the USCIS office and they said either error would not be a problem. They told me to send a letter with the information and corrected pages, so I sent that letter to them with the corrected pages. They mailed the information back to me, the information had case numbers stamped on it, nothing further, I at least new they received the info. I also mailed them them the back of my birth certificate which was blank, I wrote blank on the page just for good measure since I was mailing them more docs.
Short of it is, no RFEs, petition approved within 4 to 5 months.
    Hope this helps.

Orando got a reaction from Gricel Y Arturo in K-1 or CR-1??
Being geographically separated does not necessitate having to do a K-1 visa, everybody has this choice, regardless of geographical situations. Many of us marry our long distance partners in the foreign country. My wife and I chose to get married in Colombia so her family could be there, so that she would come to the US as my wife, not fiancee and so that within a month after her arrival, she would have her 2 year GC. It turns out that the CR-1 is cheaper as well. I had to meet the requirements as a foreigner marrying in Colombia, we went to the notary and they advised us what I needed to bring to get married. I had to get a declaration of single hood and birth certificate, both had to have apostilles, I also had to provide a copy of my passport, everything had to be translated to Spanish. My wife had to provide her civil documents as well to the notary.
The CR-1 is an immigrant visa so it tends to take a little longer because there are more steps for an immigrant visa. The K-1 is a non-immigrant visa and gives the person the right to enter the US and marry a US Citizen within 90 days, less steps, so it may process faster.
I would do the CR-1 again, I would rather have my wife wait the extra time in her country, then spend the months of time waiting in the US to get the work authorization, it is not good for my wife to sit idle. With the CR-1, she can hit the ground running. With K-1, she has to apply for work authorization, apply to be able to leave the country, adjust status, and we have to pay more money. Also, her coming as my wife was the right thing for us. Sure, there is the potential to be together sooner with the K-1, you do not have to deal with marriage in a foreign jurisdiction, but the benefits of the CR-1 were more attractive for us.
Also, the time of filing the I-130 after the marriage is not significant, you could file the day after the wedding without a problem. I mailed the I-130 24 days after our marriage, I had to come back to the US, have some documents translated, it was Christmas time so that slowed the translations down. Finally had everything ready to go on 01/03/2012.
    Hope this helps.

No. The visa is not intended to grant people a trial period with their partner or in their new environment. It's to make wedding plans and settle in a bit. This isn't a "see how this works" visa. It's a visa intended for people who have already made the decision. I'm so tired of reading this here on VJ, people who think the K1 is actually intended as a 90 day test drive.

I'm going to jump in here and say that as an American (along with MANY others on this thread) I encouraged Saylin to work on her marriage rather than divorce. For myself, I don't really recommend divorce on an online forum- for one thing, you only hear one version of events. Second, you only hear small tidbits of a person's entire history together so how would ANYONE know enough to recommend ending a marriage?

Thank you all for the responses. All I really wanted to know is whether this kind of information can be accessed by USCIS or will it hurt our chances. As some of you have said that it doesn't, I feel a lot better.
Concerning the relationship advise: Thank you, and I did tell him that his actions were inappropriate and that that is not the way to joke with other women. He was totally clueless of why, but after some explaining he understood and apologized. He explained to me that he really didn't mean to flirt with her (and didn't even notice that she took it as flirting lol) and that he was just making fun of her drunken attempts. So it is all resolved, and he deleted her immediately and promised that if it bothers me he will not do it again. He feels really bad.
Communication is key in a relationship. But if one person still does not understand, then some convincing is in order. (I actually had to use your responses to show him that its not just me lol). It was also a cultural difference I guess.

Wow, I do not think you over-reacted. Compared to the way my wife would react to me talking with another female in a sensual way like this, you reacted quite calmly and rationally.

Because he is my rock, he has been with me through life changing events and is there for me no matter what or when. I can call him at 2am just to talk because I miss his voice, and I get, "Sugarrr, you ok? Talk to me and let me help"
When I am upset, he says "is that as bad as you get angry? It's so cute! How can I ever get upset at you?!"
He is my best friend and knows all about my past and faults and loves me because they have made me who I am today. His fiance!
He calls and wakes me every morning because he wants his voice to be the first thing I hear when I awake.
He makes me feel alive inside and is my everything and I am his.

Not at all, 90 days is given so people can make wedding plans. If they wanted to give people time to get to know each other state side, they would do like Australia and provide 9 months or more to get married using the fiance visa.

It is an unfortunate event. Black people have a different perspective and life experience than white people in the USA. Sadly, that is the way it is. The issue with this one for black people is that it could happen to any of us, at anytime, that is just the way it is, it doesn't matter if we are innocent, we just need to look a certain way, dress a certain way. Even white people who dress like gangstas will get the same treatment. I get that, but when something like this does happen to an innocent person, it fans the flames of historical injustice in the USA for black people. Good thing is, the authorities are taking all the right steps to escalate the matter, which is good.
Zimmerman should have stayed in his car, the authority of a neighborhood watch person should only extend that far unless someone is in the act of committing a crime. The kid was not breaking into a house at the time nor assaulting anybody. It would be a different story if the kid was in the act of committing a crime. Terrible, even if Zimmerman doesn't catch a man-slaughter charge, his live has changed completely. Sucks for him at this point, anyway this plays out. I heard he is currently in hiding.

I understand 17 year olds are not allowed to carry handguns however, that doesn't and won't stop 17 year olds from carrying handguns. You should be aware of that.
Treyvon was on the way home to his father's fiancee's house from what I read, he belonged in the neighborhood. It may not have been his primary neighborhood but he certainly wasn't passing through and he was on his to the house he was staying at. I consider the neighborhoods of my mom and dad's houses to be my neighborhoods. He certainly wasn't "Up to no good".
I see what happened here, the laws in Florida allow for what happened. Zimmerman, stereotypes a young black kid wearing a hoody as being "up to no good", "On drugs or something", he figured that out sitting in his car at a distance from the kid. Neighborhood watch hero that he is, patrolling the neighborhood with a hand gun, has insufficient fighting skills to subdue a 17 year old kid, proceeds to get his a$$ kicked after he chases down and confronts the kid, after 911 tells him they do not need him to do that and his only way out was to shoot the kid. While fulfilling his neighborhood watch duties, Zimmerman picks a fight with a kid thinking he is up to no good, Zimmerman gets his a$$ kicked, Zimmerman shoots the kid, says it is self defense. Pretty straight forward to me from the facts that are in the media so far.
