  1. 1 year and 7 months is a long time  and throws a Red Flag for a marriage! FaceTime is the most important proof of a Real Relationship, Please ask your husband to come there 1 more time before your interview or be with you during your interview to show support as this will add more evident.

  2. I'd say skip calling, I'm sure everyone's going to give you a different answer. Just have your wife wait until she's at customs and ask how to answer that question. This would be the best (and perhaps only) option in her case.

I never changed my name, so all my documents are still in my maiden name. We filled out the paperwork in my maiden name. And so, my visa (and later, green card) came in my maiden name. When I was first denied at the airport, the immigration officer suggested I do this to make it easier. So I did.

    Gotha!!

    Thank you again.................

  Enjoy your trip back home!!

  3. Well, usually, the visa comes in the name of the passport. I've never heard of a case where it came in different names.

I would suggest in your case for your wife to leave that question blank and just ask the border officer once she gets to customs. They'll tell her what to write.

ok, that sound good too, but im still going to call LAX in the morning!

so did your Visa come in your maiden name? or you changed your passport after the marriage? I remember asking you the name my wife visa will come in and you said the name i filed all the papers in....and you were correct!

  4. Customs Declaration form on the plane

CMP 6059B Form 1) Family Name

    Passport: wife's maiden name

    Visa: My Last name

OK, I just called (2) different U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency's in Atlanta, Ga and Dallas, TX because our P.O.E. LAX is closed, I asked them:

"What do my wife put as her last name on Question#1 on the form?"

    a) name on passport (maiden) OR

    b) name on Visa (My last name)

    I got (2) different answers:

Dallas says: "a) name on passport (maiden)"

Atlanta says: "b) Name on Visa (My last name)"

What did you or your spouse put here? :help:

  5. Please don't move to this Apartment complex!!!!

    You weren't overreacting!

Here in Texas Illegal Immigration is at a all-time high and Apartment complex's and Employers are forced by the state to E-verify and ask immigration status questions to avoid a fine if there's no SOS Number. The first lady was wrong for not asking you politely for your Passport and Green Card!

  6. Respected sir/madam

Some people says it's better to have an attorney when you want to get it in US.They say if you not get a lawyer your permenant resident card may be more delay than others who had attorney.

What do you think of it?I don't like to pay much money on it.But i like to have a resident card ,Cuz my fiance needs me to work.

And some people say it's complex proccess getting an attorney make it very easy.

  7. For my wife interview;

The Security Guard at the U.S. CONSULATE folded The VERY large X-Ray Envelope that she received from her medical exam so it goes through the medal detector machine.

    Question:

    1) Will folding this be a problem at the P.O.E?

    if yes

2)How do you carry this on the airplane UN-folded?

I ask because I've read many post here on VJ saying that:

    1) P.O.E office don't ask for X-Ray Envelope, it's not needed...

    2) X-Ray Envelope is for you to give to your new doctor in the U.S....
