  1. First off, thanks for all the anniversary well wishes! Had a great day! Went to Sioux Falls (big city about an hour and a half away). Had lunch at Olive Garden, went to Best Buy (every geek's dream ;) ), watched Dark Shadows (Johnny Depp luv.gif) at an awesome theater, went to PetCo and PetSmart to look at fish ( I want to get another one now laughing.gif), and then had supper at the Outback Steakhouse. Awesome day :D

    GRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!! kicking.gif

Thank you :innocent: and   Happy 2 year Anniversary and best wises to another 50 years

  2. HKG, unlike GUZ, is 'so accommodating', yes?

Was it an officer (us citizen) or a hkg person, a member of staff?

Regardless, what she is getting is a 'call in letter' - that letter allows her entrance back into the embassy on wednesday. Tell her to make sure she has that, instead of a 'send in letter' (which has instructions for postal mail processing, which will suck and delay things more)

    Good Luck !

It was a call from the U.S. Officer that will swear her in on the final stage of her interview! The interview is in 12 hours, but the officer knows my wife will not have the medical results back until Wednesday at 9am..One day after the interview and she told my wife that she will be fine......She will give her a Letter to come back and bring the Medical Results on Wednesday! That's positive thinking from a American Officer and makes me feel good!!!

  3. :wow: My wife interview is at 8:30am in the morning and she just received a call from the U.S. Consulate telling her "Not to Worry", :innocent: The officer told her after her interview she will give her a letter to bring her medical results back on Wednesday. The CO was surprised that my wife got so much done in 4 days  it cost me a small fortune  but well worth it!

    I'm so Excited :dancing:

  4. NEW YORK Residents Before You Apply For Unemployment: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What employment do I need to qualify for benefits?

    A:

You must have worked and been paid wages for work in at least two calendar quarters in your base period,

    AND

You must have been paid at least $1,600 in wages in one of the calendar quarters in your base period,

    AND

The total wages paid to you in your base period must be one and one-half times your high quarter wages.

We use no more than $8,910 of your high quarter earnings to determine if you qualify. You must have earned at least half that amount ($4,455) in the other base period quarters.

Read the full statement here Then file!

  5. Has she called the panel physician yet to see what can be done for the medical?

She received the consulate call at 4:30pm yesterday in Hong Kong which is a day ahead of us here in the U.S., so shes going to call the panel physician at 8am in the morning there to try and schedule a Monday appointment and pray the package is there before Saturday or she will bring the Email file as you said!

  6. In the interview package, there is no "medical letter". The information about your country's specific medical can be found here: http://travel.state..../info_3739.html

The U.S. CONSULATE just mailed out my wife Interview Package today, 4 working days before her interview!

Due to your situation, the panel physician might accept the first NVC letter you got (which has the beneficiary's name and all the numbers (case and invoice)). This is what panel physicians accept in countries that allow advance medicals. How did you find out about your wife's interview today? The U.S. CONSULATE called my wife today and i confirmed it by calling DOS! Was it through email? TELEPHONE If so, print the email out and bring it to the medical. In your situation, they should accept it.

If worse comes to worse and the panel physician won't accept anything besides the interview letter, and if you don't get that in time, just go to the interview. They'll just put your case into AP for missing documents. As soon as the medical is complete, send in the medical results and they'll process your visa. YES, this is what I'm planning for now, people never file for Hong Honk interviews! :crying:

  7. Well today the U.S. CONSULATE GENERAL in Hong Kong issued my wife’s Interview date and i should be happy, but May 22, 2012 :wow: , yes in 6 days and also today they just mailed out the interview package with medical letter.

The package may not even arrive before her interview and surely not looking good for a medical without the letter and all that goes into the process. They never reply to Emails or Faxes as I’ve sent them over 5 in the pass 6 weeks.

This just seems so incompetent of them ask my wife to do what they know is highly not possible! I warm anyone never to apply your interview in Hong Kong!

Has anyone here been in this position with a Incompetent Consulate/Embassy?
