Hello,

Now that my wife and I are waiting on the NVC to send us our Case Number and send my spouse a packet of forms, I read here

that you and your relative must fill out before your relative can be given an interview date with a consulate abroad. The packet will likely contain an Of-169 form, and an Of-230 part one and two forms that must be filled out by the intending immigrant.

Questions

1) OF-169 - is this form out dated? if so, whats the new form?

2) OF-230 forms part one and two - is the out dated? if so, whats the new form?

3) once my wife complete all forms, will she send them to (Me)? (NVC)? or (U.S. Consular abroad)?

Congratulations!!, our I-130 also was approved yesterday!!

I'm Very happy tonight, I just received a Text message 20 minutes ago from USCIS telling me "Your case ###### is now updated. Check my case status" at www.uscis.gov, well i went online and did just that to read I-130 Approved and NOA-2 mailed 02/22/2012. I yelled and called my wife to tell her and now YOU my awesome friends here on VJ.

wow in one day they moved from saying july 12 to july 22nd...thats a progress!!!!!!!!! thank god!!!!!!!!!!! holy jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!! but then again you are a K3 visa- someone with CR1 should call to see what date they tell them...

I call USCIS every Monday night and Friday Night to get the application date they are working on with CSC.

Here is a accurate timeline Below:

I called on January 16th - they are working on June 16th

I called on January 20th - they are working on June 16th

I called on January 23th - they are working on June 16th

I called on January 27th - they are working on July 12th

I called on February 3rd - they are working on July 22nd

it's coming guys, just keep praying!!

I just read on (this older post)that an expedite approval takes about 3days, than about 1 to 2 months to be at the NVC!

Just be a little patient since you just filed a few weeks ago, I filed a I-130 for my wife in August 15th, 2011 and we are still waiting! Goodluck:-)

Is this what it has come to now? 8 months for NOA2?

The has to be the pinnacle of USCIS's flawed system.

I understand your frustration, my priority Date is: August 15,2011 and today is pass the predicted 5 months approval also. I call USCIS every Tuesday and tell them my case is outside the processing Time and the tell me its not, but call back in 3 weeks to see were they are in Application dates. Today they are still working on Applications filed on June 16, 2011, they've been working on this same date when I call them last week. Just be patient, Im trying my best too!!

On Aug 17, 2011 I received the Text message and Email from the USCIS saying, "your application was received. Receipt#, (Form-797)to follow in the mail", I do have the Receipt number, but I never received the Paper Form-797,

What should I Do now?

5 Minutes ago I mailed the I-130 package to the Chicago lockBox, I'M so happy Our Journey Begins in bringing my wife here to the U.S.!
