  1. I filed for my wife about 9mths before i naturalised. i gave USCIS a call the very day became a US citizen and updated my status, six days later my I-130 was approved. If i had filed it earlier than that my wife shd have been here by now. Tell your friend to do it now.

the problem is my friend has only been a permanent resident for 2 year so he cant file for citizenship anytime soon.how long did it take for your wife to get here. Also when you filled out the forms, what did you put for her address in Ghana?Did you put her P.O BOX or physical street address?

  2. I am trying to get as much information but it appears that they were married in 2009.When he first filled out the lottery application they were not married. They got married shortly after his interview. He was still single at the interview stage. There was no additional forms he filled out after the interview asking about his marital status.will this complicate anything if she should file as married now?

  3. Hello, I am in the process of filling out my G-325aA and I have read here that every bit of that form has to be filled out.In the top right hand cornerit is asking for a file number. What do I put there? Also the form expired on 06/30/11.can I still use it? i didnt see any other updated forms.

    thanks.

  4. Thank you.I agree, a couple of months worth of phone records should be sufficient.I do have airline tickets and pictures as well. The last thing I want to do is to overburden a case officer with too much information which in this case seems unnecessary.i will just send two when we first started talking to the most current date.thanks for all your input and advice.

  5. I am filing for my fiancee in Ghana to come and join me.I am filing as early as next week and I have gathered all the necessary documents.my problem is that I think I may have too much paperwork and it may be too much for anyone to go through.I have all the necessary forms.I-129, G-325A etc.My problem is that in proving that we have a relationship, I have my phone records from the last time we actually met, which was November 2010 to current(July 2011) My phone records are about 28 pages on average, showing all the texts and calls we send one another.I think this is too much.Do you suggest maybe a few months worth of phone records? instead of 10 months worth? The rest of the evidence such as cards, letters and emails are not quite as many or bulky.

In this case is less more? or should I just send them everything I have?

    thanks.

  6. lol. I'm already contemplating a long interview date, but my fiance doesnt want to believe it. its been almost two years we have been together anyway so its already a long journey. thanks for the help. explanations come in different ways

Babygirl,Can you please give me a timeline of your jouney.being that we both file to the California service center and the US embassy in Accra, I am trying to use your timeline to gauge how long mine will take.I will be filing in August.Thanks.

  7. Is it really taking a year to get an interview date? I was planning to apply in January but if it is taking so long, I might have to apply a little earlier.so when i send the paperwork here, they then forward it to Ghana? What if it somehiow gets lost?Did you guys make copies of all your documents? At what point do I have to fill out the affidavit of support form? how soon after all the paperwork has been sent initially?
