I put the physical address which nobody in Ghana uses because the form specifically asked for a street number. Now I am worried that they will not be able to mail it anywhere.Should I send them a letter of instruction explaining the difference?

USPS always cheaper and you can pay for delivery confirmation and sig confirmation and it still was less than $20.00.

Were you divorced before you got your permanent green card?

I am trying to get as much information but it appears that they were married in 2009.When he first filled out the lottery application they were not married. They got married shortly after his interview. He was still single at the interview stage. There was no additional forms he filled out after the interview asking about his marital status.will this complicate anything if she should file as married now?

Thank you all for you input. It makes sense now.

Not funny at all.

I have read and understand the form but it still doesnt tell me how long it will take for the visa to be approved. From the looks of things there is no point in filing right now if he cant bring her over until he becomes a citizen.

Thank you very much.I dont think this will work for him.It seems it is geared more for citizens, not permanent residents.IF he files this he has to file an I-130 na dwait ion line behind US citizens who have filed. This will take several years. He is better of waiting to become a citizen before filing.

Neither link is working.

He is a permanent resident green card holder. He has been in the US for about two years since he got the green card two years ago.I am not sure what other details will be needed.

What does he have to do to bring his wife over?

I have a friend who has won the Visa lottery. He has been in the US for two years since winning the lottery, he has his green card and everything. He is currently married and his wife is in Ghana.can he file for her to join him or does he have to wait till he is a citizen?

It took them 48 hrs to cash my check when i filed for citizenship.I also sent my application for I-129 on saturday and they rceived it yesterday. As of today , they haven't cashed it yet.Hopefully your deposit gets in before they cash it and I am sure it will.Good luck.

I have seen where people have stated that 3 years worth of tax returns are required but I dont see that on the I-134 or the instructions?Am I mising something? or where can I find information on what docs to include with the I-134. Thanks.

Hello, I am in the process of filling out my G-325aA and I have read here that every bit of that form has to be filled out.In the top right hand cornerit is asking for a file number. What do I put there? Also the form expired on 06/30/11.can I still use it? i didnt see any other updated forms.
thanks.

Thank you.I agree, a couple of months worth of phone records should be sufficient.I do have airline tickets and pictures as well. The last thing I want to do is to overburden a case officer with too much information which in this case seems unnecessary.i will just send two when we first started talking to the most current date.thanks for all your input and advice.

I am filing for my fiancee in Ghana to come and join me.I am filing as early as next week and I have gathered all the necessary documents.my problem is that I think I may have too much paperwork and it may be too much for anyone to go through.I have all the necessary forms.I-129, G-325A etc.My problem is that in proving that we have a relationship, I have my phone records from the last time we actually met, which was November 2010 to current(July 2011) My phone records are about 28 pages on average, showing all the texts and calls we send one another.I think this is too much.Do you suggest maybe a few months worth of phone records? instead of 10 months worth? The rest of the evidence such as cards, letters and emails are not quite as many or bulky.
In this case is less more? or should I just send them everything I have?
thanks.

Babygirl,Can you please give me a timeline of your jouney.being that we both file to the California service center and the US embassy in Accra, I am trying to use your timeline to gauge how long mine will take.I will be filing in August.Thanks.

I am applying for the K-1.I had no idea it takes soo long.I think I will begin the process a little soioner than I had planned.

Is it really taking a year to get an interview date? I was planning to apply in January but if it is taking so long, I might have to apply a little earlier.so when i send the paperwork here, they then forward it to Ghana? What if it somehiow gets lost?Did you guys make copies of all your documents? At what point do I have to fill out the affidavit of support form? how soon after all the paperwork has been sent initially?

I wish I had the answers you were looking for.I have no idea.I am getting ready to file the same paperwork next year so I am keen to know about the process.I will ask some people and see if anyone knows the answer to this.
