Patience is the key. You can get you Representative involved if you feel they will help your personal situation. Good luck on your journey.

Yes take the big brown envelope with you and anything else from the doctor. And proof of on-going relationship.

Potentially a "stupid" question, but where it says to put "spouse's information", I should NOT write anything, correct? Since we're not married yet...?
LOL
LOL
Correct! or you can simply write N/A

You are at the fun stage of the game...Packet 3... Follow the directions in packet 3, fprward the email to your fiance if you can. Since you will be there for the interview bring your full copy of everything with you along with more pics and evidence to be on the safe side.
Best of luck

Hi
Everything should be translated into English, divorce decree, death certificate, ect....don't let that be a snag in your case. Good luck to you.

Wow not what I expected to see after being off VJ for a while but I can understand the stress and pain the process can cause. Like everyone is saying if your relationship can make it through the waiting and being apart then you can make it through almost anything. You both sound like you need a break.... but canceling???? The petitioner better think long and hard before ending the process because your wait will begin again.
I am sorry for your current heartbreak and pray all will be reconciled before major decisions are made regarding your case.

a friend here said i needed to post what happen on may 15 2012 when my husband had a second interview at the embassy in cairo. it did not go well. he was refused and our file is being sent back to USCIS for possible revocation.
they seem to think my husbands divorce paper is not real. the people inside the embassy and the CO do not know that in a divorce in egypt (Islam) there is a 90 day waiting period called the IDDAT (IDDAH). this 90 waiting period is for the female to make sure she is not pregnant. also this 90 period also stand for that if her husband wants to take her back and he could without her permission, he can do so.
after 90 days and he does not take her back then the divorce is final and the female moves back home with her parents. that is a divorce in Islam and Egypt. if the CO did her job she would have known this and also the immigrant visa chief. but he says not a legal divorce for immigration purposes. if they did their homework
like they suppose to then they would have seen it is a legal and binding divorce and it was signed off in the court and ministry of justice in egypt.
even after the congressmans office emailed back and forth with cairo embassy, she found out they sent it off to USCIS for review. now it is up to me to prove this and i have all i need here to prove it.
my husband was upset and still is about the way he was treated by the CO there.she tried to make him out to be a liar but he stuck to his words and faith and kept telling her he is no liar. the CO had a problem with it back on jan 2 2012 at his first interview.
weirdest thing, the same CO he had in january also interviewed him on may 15. do you think they would have put someone else there on it.
we have been on this journey since october 29 2010 and it seems like it will never end.
First I would like to say I am sorry you and your spouse are going through this. I know it is hard to deal with when all you want is to be together.
I find it amazing and how much assistance you recieved when you asked your question. The fact that people took the time to disect your issue and come up with various reasons as to why this has happened is commendable and shows unity within your culture/country.
I have the same situation or I should say similar situation. I posted yesterday but I have gotten only 2 responses
yet you have 2 pages..
.Amazing, you are very lucky to get great help from VJ and so much attention given to your situation. I do hope it all helps you and your case. Best of luck on the rest of your journey.

Hey Chynna boo,
If I were you I would call the embassy for more info. This just sounds too suspicious to me.
I asked him for the number that called and we both checked it out and it is indeed a phone number from the embassy.
I am going next week to Haiti so I will bring updated stuff like phone logs and copies of our emails and all the new pics we have taken. I will give them to my fiance. However I am going to prepare him for the worst but pray for the best.
Hope all is well with you and yours.

Hi VJ'ers,
I am writing to get some opinions... This morning my fiance got a call from the Embassy in Haiti. They asked him if he knew why he was denied? He replied " I am not really sure because I never recieved any documentation explaining why. (of course I told him about the email denial from the embassy back in January)
Then he was told to bring in his passport on June 27, 2012. He was so excited he called me right away. I was thoroughly confused because we were denied in January 2012 because my divorce decree was improperly registered in Haiti....So I am currently in the process of divorce again..
I hope they are not luring him back to the embassy to put a denied stamp on his Visa. Anyone else have any thoughts on this and why they want him back?
Thanks

Hi Mani0118 for the interview bring more pics and proof of on going relationship. Only answer what they ask. The questions are pretty basic. The wait may be long though so bring snacks. No liquids. Are you going? Read the previous interviews some of the questions they ask are in the Haiti reviews.
Hope this helps you and your boo.

Do I really need a police certificate for Haiti.... On the interview
You only need it if he has had any documented run-ins with the law in Haiti...But if he is trouble free then no police cert needed.
Best of luck to you and yours.

Don't fret this is a good thing. What they have will be strong evidence of your relationship and they will give everything back at the interview.
Best of luck.
