Thanks...Just to confirm...Are you saying I have to send my original birth certificate to my fiancee who will be going to the U.S. Consulate in Juarez for the interview?
Good question. The answer is yes.

The first thing is too have that faith in God that He is in Control of this whole process. I pray to Him everyday to show us the way and guide and protect us...He is a faithful God and will NEVER let us down. Also, I am in nursing school, so that keeps me very busy as I am always studying...But now that my summer classes are over, I went out and bought a binder and a photo album and started putting some of the paperwork and evidence together needed for his interview. For me that makes time go by soooo fast....I also try and talk to him on the phone everyday, even if its for 5 mins....
Wishing you all the best of luck...XOXO
Harmony, thanks for the suggestions. Every thing helps...

Yes the wedding...I have thought about it but no real planning yet. I think this is a great way to cope and deal with this journey.
This week I plan on working on my evidence binder. I read lots of great tips on how to make it look organized. It was a helpful post.

I've spent a lot of time making plans for our wedding. I have my gown, I've designed the wedding bulletins (programs), picked colors and brain-stormed about ideas for centerpieces for the tables at the reception, and literally worked out every detail of our wedding including the music for the ceremony and the reception. There is so much to plan for and be excited about...and it makes the time go by much faster. I also pray A LOT. It helps me to believe that someone bigger than me is in control of everything that happens (helps me worry less about things that could go wrong). It's easy to get discouraged when you read some of the posts on this website about denials and RFE's. Don't get me wrong...I have learned a lot from posts here, and I have been equally encouraged when I see posts from people who get their NOA2's and visa approvals, too. Other than that....I get up every morning and I go to work, spend time with my friends and family and of course, spend as much time on the phone and Skype with my fiance as I possibly can.
When people ask me about the visa process and the time it takes, I just smile and say, "It's not for the faint of heart...only the strong survive." I have every confidence that my fiance is worth waiting for...and I keep my eyes on the day that we will finally be together.
Good luck to you....I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

Double posted question.
I realized that it was posted twice, that was not my intention. I am not sure how to fix that. How are you coping/dealing with your journey?

Hey VJ peeps, it's friday and I am home obsessing, daydreaming and fantasizing about recieving my NOA2. I have read a lot of info related to the K1 process but I don't see much on coping skills. Surviving this journey takes more than patience.
Please add suggestions to this thread on how to survive....
We all need to know how you are dealing and coping with being apart from your Fiance/Fiancee.

I am in the same boat. I did not send the intenty to marry form and I just left my fiancee on tuesday 6/28/11. Did I mention I had the forms downloaded on my laptop. AY-YA-YAI! I feel like a dumb fool. I did try to get on VJ while I was there in Haiti but there was no internet access. I am going to mail it to him and have him sign it and mail it back to me to see if they can attach it to my file.
What would I do without VJ and friends...

Hello VJ peeps, I am new on hear and I have been all over this site reading and even posting in the wrong places. I am here with you March filers but a little tired from navigating on the site. I just returned from Haiti visiting my fiancee. As I posted some where else I wish I read all this before I left on my trip. There was so much I shoulda done on the last trip besides stay in the whole time.
I look forward to getting to know all the March filers.
That's how tired I am...I just figured out I am an April filer, Geesh! where are they?

Hi VJ peeps, I am an April filer. I have been doeng some extensive reading on here. So far VJ has been quite the resource for me. I wish I read all this before taking my trip last week. There is just so much I would of done besides admiring my fiancee up-close and personal. I was just so happy to be with him, I just lived in thre moment, I did get to take some photos but we barely went out.
I just returned on Tuesday 6/28/11 and today Sunday 7/3/11 I am sick. I definately caught a bug.
I look forward to sharing my journey and reading about all of yours.

"When will you marry?"
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures

Very cute, that's what is great about different cultures. My Fiance also has some interesting answers to a lot of practice interview questions I present to him.
As far as the question when will we marry? I tell people before the end of 2011. But the truth is I really better start planning because once the interview part is over and approved things will start to happen on US time and not Carribean time and what a big difference that is...
