We met through an online dating website April 2009. While there was an interest in meeting someone from a different country, neither of us thought that it would actually continue into a long distance relationship and engagement. Also, we didn't realize the redtape that it would take to get married, being from different countries. But we hung in there and the time was not as long was it felt! We were married November 19, 2011 and doing quite well!
Thanks for the congrats. The worst part isn't even the wait, it's answering the questions of others about the progress while you're waiting! People are already skeptical about marrying someone from overseas and you waiting for the "visa journey" only adds to their skepticism!
