(Vietnamese) K1 Visa Marriage Certificate name order wrong

Hello, I reside in Houston, TX. Fort bend county, and today my fiance and I went to our local county clerk to get our marriage certificate. I handed them my US passport along with my Fiance's Vietnam Passport, and they told me that they have to match the order of her name that is on her passport. So on our marriage certificate it shows her name in the following order (Middle Name, First Name, Last Name). Which is wrong. My name is shown in the correct order. They told me it has to be this way and that it can't be changed. I'm worried that we may have complications when we apply for ssn, greencard, us citizenship, buy a house, opening a joint bank account, etc that her name being in the wrong order will give us problems.

Could someone please help me with this. I'm not sure if this is a normal thing and it can be somehow changed later and not to worry about it. Or is it something we must look into and get it resolved ASAP to avoid future complications?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, my wife and I will be visiting family members in south Texas. We will be driving through an internal border patrol checkpoint. My wife s green card expired and her i 751 is still pending. She has a 24 months extension letter from USCIS.

Will we face any issue at the internal checkpoint or should I delay this visit until we have the 10 year green card?

Hi, my wife has a 10 year green card. Her mom and dad want to come visit for 2 months. They have no interest in living in the US. How difficult is it for them to get a tourist visa?

Hello, I have a question about the 3 year rule timeline. So I arrived in the US in Nov 2019, but due to pandemic, paperwork got delayed for a year and I didn t get my 2yr GC til 2021. I ve submitted my I-751 to remove condition already. I m wondering if I can submit N-400 now while waiting so they can do the joint interview. I have all the paperwork ready (since I prepared for the I-751) and met all the requirements. Because technically I ve been in the US for more than 3 years, but if according to the date on my GC then it s not 3 years yet so I m not sure if I can do that

"What is your current legal name?" If your birth certificate doesn't match the name on your green card, which name should you use?

What is your current legal name?
Your current legal name is the name on your birth certificate, unless it changed after birth by a legal action such as marriage or court order. Do not provide any nicknames here.

This question seems like it should be straight forward, but I wanted to check on something:

If your birth certificate doesn't match the name on your green card, which name should you use?

My wife is Vietnamese, and has four names. On her Vietnamese passport, her name is listed in reverse order: Surname MiddleTwo MiddleOne First

But on her green card, her name is listed as MiddleTwo M Surname. (The M is an abbreviation of MiddleOne.)

So I am guessing we should just do what the question says and enter in the birth certificate name.

Given Name: First

Middle Name: MiddleTwo MiddleOne (or should it be MiddleOne MiddleTwo)?

Family Name: Surname

But since in the USA, her legal name is actually now MiddleTwo M Surname, will there be an issue here?

Legal name meaning it's the name on her green card, her SSN, et al, and as such her bank accounts, her employers, her tax records all have this name.

I think I know the answer.: Just fill it out based on the birth certificate and USCIS deals with this often enough that it shouldn't be an issue.

Just looking for confirmation to proceed with confidence.
