We are unsure how to go about doing this. My department was let go at the end of 2022 and since I have not been able to find work, I have to go back to America.

I am engaged with a Vietnamese girl who wants to go with me. Should we register our marriage in Japan or wait until she visits America and then register it in America?

How do I go about getting the correct documents submitted for her?

Thanks in advance.

Hello all,

Both of my parents I-130 case (filed seperately) was approved by USCIS on the same day 5/30/23 , however only my dad received his NVC processing case# on 6/8/23.

Should I be worry about my mom not receiving her NVC processing case yet or just a delay issues with NVC ? Should I wait a week or two to see if my mom NVC process case go through before sending an inquiry to NVC?

Thank you.

Leaving the US after finishing biometrics of Reentry permit application I-131

My mom is an US green card holder. She moved to the US on Oct 2022 from Vietnam. She missed home so much, and wanna go back to Vietnam until I give birth to my baby. (Which we are hoping in 1-2 coming years).

So on Jan 2023, I applied the reentry permit for her I-131, Application for Travel Document so that she can stay in Vietnam for 2 years, and no trouble for coming back to the US.

She got her biometrics done on March 2023.

We have been waiting and no further information from the USCIS so far. I did some research and it may take a couple of months.

Is it okay if she comes back to Vietnam on July 2023 before receiving her re-entry permit I131 approval?

My brother is coming to the US, so she wants to go back to Vietnam with her. She doesn't speak English at all and scared of long flights by herself.

Thank you so much for your help!

Hi everyone,

I recently received a Request for Evidence (RFE) regarding the I-864 form. As my mom, the primary sponsor, does not meet the income requirements to sponsor me, I included my sister as a joint sponsor. Unfortunately, I forgot to attach her W-2 and 1099 forms, which demonstrate her financial contribution. Consequently, I received an RFE requesting the tax supporting documents for my sister's most recent year. I submitted my I-485 application in August 2022, and during the period from 2019 to 2021, my sister earned enough income to support me. However, for the most recent tax return in 2022, her income does not meet the sponsorship threshold. Being self-employed, she has claimed various deductions related to house depreciation, resulting in a significantly lower tax amount. She can provide bank statements as proof of her rental payments from her properties.

I have a few questions that I would appreciate guidance on: Should I only submit her tax supporting documents for 2021, or do I also need to include the tax transcript for 2022? Is it necessary for my sister to write a letter explaining the reasons behind her lower income in 2022, despite having enough funds to sponsor me? Considering I already have one joint sponsor, should I seek another joint sponsor? And if I attach another I-864 for the second joint sponsor, do I need to provide an explanation?
I am feeling overwhelmed with these concerns, and any assistance would be immensely helpful. Thank you for your support.
Please find the attached RFE letter below.

Lawful Permanent Resident mother sponsors for unmarried 21+ daughter

Hi everyone,

my mom is going to sponsor for my sister (28 years old) and her son (4 years old) to America.

i have a few questions

1. My sister divorced in 2021, should she include divorce degree or just make a Single Certification by local authority?
2. On my sister s birth certificate. Her full name is written accurately but my mom full name is not correct.

her full name On green card is:

first name: T T N

last name: D

but on my sister birth certificate, it shows

first name: T N (T is dropped)

last name: D

do you think if we need to make a new birth certificate to match with my mom full name or we can apply with what we have?
since the birth cert was made 28 years ago, so I m not sure why it was short a middle name.
And if someone has a recent checklist of what you submitted, please share to me. I m much appreciated for your input.

Thanks
