US Immigration from United Kingdom

Hi all,

I had my medical last week and had the first dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine during it. I would be able to get the 2nd dose in the UK but if approved for visa at interview then I would have to get the 3rd dose in the USA as my 2nd dose is due at end of July.

Has anybody had any experience of this at all? Do you need a full course of the vaccine before the AOS? I haven't found a definitive answer yet.

I have my visa interview booked in August in the morning (08:30) but I am just wondering how much earlier people arrived at the embassy for their interview? I'm stopping overnight at my cousins the night before in London so just intrigued to see when people got there before their appointment so I can work out when to go from my cousins to the embassy.

CEAC site shows all three visas for myself and my kids as issued, but only had one has been confirmed with a DX reference.

Does anyone know if all three passports will be in the one package, or if I have to chase the other two.

For reference, the one I had confirmation on, was missing paperwork, which I had to sent in via DX, hence them being separately tracked.

So my friend, who s a green card holder came to the US with her daughter on ESTA from Germany. She has stayed in the US for almost two years now. My friend initially was advised by a lawyer to wait until she becomes a citizen before filing for her. However, yesterday she told me someone advised her to start the process now because it s her daughter, she s allowed to adjust her status a permanent resident. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had my IR1 interview at the US Embassy London on 17th April and have been in Additional Administrative Processing ever since. It s been 70 calendar days since the interview.

Is there anyone else that is in this situation?

They said that there is no additional paperwork or information needed from me and they have retained my passport. On the green slip they handed me, it just has the box ticked that reads Additional Administrative Processing and nothing else. I do have an arrest when I was 17 which was over 23 years ago and I was issued a reprimand for that so have a No Live Trace Police certificate. I feel like if I was going to be refused outright they wouldn t have retained my passport. What could they possibly be doing for the past 70 days with the case?

Anybody who is or has been through this process with a similar case I would be grateful for your thoughts. Or anyone else that may have an opinion.

I know of one other person that is currently going through AP from the same day but their circumstances are slightly different.
