I-485 - question about J1 visa

Hi everyone!

I am on a work visa (E2) and have recently got married to my US Citizen husband.

I am filling in I-485 and for question 24a on page 10 it says:

Have you EVER been a J nonimmigrant exchange visitor who was subject to the two-year foreign residence requirement?

12 years ago I came to the US on a J1 visa to work in the US for 3 months during summer break at university. I have found the original form and on the form it says: The exchange visitor in the above program: not subject to the two-year residence requirement

So for this question do I say no? If so, should I still include a copy of my J1 visa?

Form i-134

So I'm the petitioner for a K-1 Visa with my partner who resides in the UK. Our application has been approved by USCIS, then passed through NVC, then landed in London. He already did his medical, got his police acro, and is about to file the DS-160 and schedule for the actual Visa Interview. This is where we're freaking out a little. We know the i-134 form is needed at the interview, but I, the petitioner have received no letters since NVC let us know it was shipped off to London. Where, when, and how do I even file that in order for my fiancee to have a copy of it with him when he goes to his interview if they do not receive it by the time his interview happens? This is what we're worried about. That they won't get it and deny us or prolong the visa process.

Visa and/or Green Card Renewal Question

Apologies if this doesn't make sense or is a non-issue.

I have an Immigration Visa printed and stuck inside my UK passport, set to expire on September 1, 2024. Today (July 8, 2024) I received my Green Card, valid for two years, beginning on the day I entered the US (April 25, 2024).

First, am I right in saying the IV is irrelevant now I'm in the US, and I simply had until September 1 to move to the US?

Second, I'm sure I read somewhere that I could remove the conditions on my CR-1 green card after two years of marriage to a US citizen. Is that the case, or am I confusing myself and it's actually two years from the date my US residency began? My two-year anniversary is this November, so I want to clarify if I need to begin the renewal process this coming August, or if I have to wait until January 2026.

In terms of the visa, is there nothing to renew now? It's all about the green card until such time as I can begin the citizenship process?

I'm asking here because I can't get past the automated menu when I call USCIS to speak to someone...

Thanks in advance!

Still in the long process of waiting for i-130 approval filed Jan 2024 so not expecting approval until Feb 2025 but the sitting and waiting is killing me so I want to be as prepared as possible so the next part can go smoothly. I have seen some stuff about an ACRO police check. Could I do that now? How long does it last? Will I need one for my children 14 and 10? Any info greatly appreciated thanks in advance

K1 Covid Booster Vaccine Query

Hi all,

I have a Covid vaccine booster booked next week (I had my medical last week) but I was just wondering that if I get this Covid booster whether I would then need to get another dose after entering the USA if approved and filing for the AoS? Like would the Civil Surgeon say for example it has been more than 6 months since you had a dose then I would be required to get a dose? Or is it just one dose that needs to be completed either before entering the USA or before the AoS?

I have had 3 doses of the vaccine already but this was in 2021-2022.

As I have seen that some people on here have got their Covid booster before travelling to the USA and some that have got it after travelling to the USA for the AoS.

Hope you can help!
