US Immigration from United Kingdom

Hi everyone! I submitted my AOS early August - with the delays in biometrics and just backlogs in general I don't see my EAD coming ANY time soon, so I have started looking into volunteering opportunities. However, this is proving harder than I thought! I have contacted several different organisations but lots of places can't accept volunteers without SSN (I guess for background checks and for tax reasons?).

I was wondering if anyone else is volunteering right now? What are you up to? I'd love ideas of who I can approach

I was doing some reading and found that I can apply for a Marriage Visitor Visa for the UK which takes 2-4 weeks to approve. I am playing with the idea of applying for this and going to marry my fianc e in the UK in December so she will officially be my spouse. We have multiple wedding deposits for our wedding in the USA on July 31, 2021 and I am starting to worry that we will lose these if she is not allowed in the country by that time. What are the drawbacks to cancelling our K1 (we lose the $500 but that s less than our wedding deposits) and restarting with the CR1 in January?

We have just submitted I-864 form along with the supporting documentation, but we just received Case FE Review Note(s).:

1. The Petitioner does not meet income requirements - his last year, 2019, tax transcription includes only part of his income because more than half of it wasn't taxable - this is payment for when he was deployed. We've attached form W-2 for 2019 which shows the nontaxable amount on his income.

The note says that decision would be made by consular office whilst the interview.

2. They've requested employment evidence - we have submitted his orders. What else can be evidence of the employment?

Anyone has had similar situation?

Also, even thought we had these two review notes, on the home page is says all the documents has been accepted. And there is no way to submit more documents. How do we suppose to do it?

Any advise would be great.

Quick question. We're filing out I-485 and I-130 but I can see that the fees on the USCIS calculator ( https://www.uscis.gov/feecalculator) haven't changed. Anyone knows what fees we have to submit ( Old or new ones)? Wondering if anyone has heard anything from the Newark field office? We haven't heard anything since our NOA on 14th July.

Pretty frustrating having to wait so long for the biometrics exam to be scheduled, especially as I have a company that wants me to work for them, but I'm stuck twiddling my thumbs until I can get my EAD.... sigh.
