Hubby and I are planning to visit Florida over the holidays.

I am still in the AOS process. Biometrics is next Tuesday, so I won t have work or travel permit in time.

however as it is domestic (will be a direct flight), is this ok?

is there certain paperwork I need to take?

So I was supposed to have AOS interview yesterday. I went there and they didn't let me in because they canceled interview, something covid related and that they can't handle the volume. (They left me voice mail day before, but I haven't seen it). They told that theybwill send a letter with new date. So I was okay with that, I don't mind waiting a bit longer not a big deal, but today I check my case reference number and it says

Case Was Updated To Show That No One Appeared for In-Person Processing

On December 17, 2020, we requested that certain people associated with your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number.

So I'm confused now. I called support center and they send an inquiry to local office, so I hope everything will be fine,, but did anyone had anything like that before?

Hi all,

For those of us that have entered the US on ESTA/B2 and spontaneously married and are now filing AOS, what should we put in our "Physical Address" field on all forms, our US spouse's address that we are technically now living at or our home country address.

I ask and am unsure as it would seem that technically our physical address is our home country as until the application is received we are still VISITOR status.

Now that I have my flight to the US booked (28th December- yay!), I would like to organise a few final considerations.

Primarily, I would like to take out a UK based life insurance policy, and so I would be very grateful for any insights into this process or peoples experiences with regards to expatriate life insurance.

A few quick facts:

- I am 25-30years of age,

- male,

- non-smoker,

- medical record includes sporting related injuries, but I'm fit and healthy.

I will be joining a large financial services company in the US, and from memory they offer a comprehensive life/medical insurance policy (will be confirmed, when I receive the final paperwork, etc.), however, I would like to take out a UK based policy, whereby my parents(UK) would be the sole beneficiaries. Which I expect would simplify the process for them, should something happen to me before/during their retirement.

I intend to maintain at least one UK based bank account.

This would be my first LI policy, and so, I would be grateful for any suggestions and feedback

So my husband lost his job this year. He was my sponsor however now he will be unable to.

We just got our interview date so have asked his Grandma to sponsor me which she is more than happy to do.

Since she is my new sponsor she would need to provide the I-864 and evidence correct?
Would my husband need to provide an updated I-864 since when we applied for AOS he was my sponsor or just say at the interview that it has changed and she is now the sponsor?
