Should I reschedule my marriage based GC interview until the pandemic situation gets better?

My wife and I are being told to appear for our I485 interview in a month's time from now. However, we recently had a baby and we have been in self quarantine for the better part of this year. We'd like to possibly delay the interview if we can until infections get a bit lower, but are afraid that we will give USCIS the impression that we are avoiding the interview since our 2 year anniversary is only 3 months away. My USC wife is a total quarantine lover and has not left the house except for a few times this year. When the interview letter came through I had a panic attack because I know it will be hard to convince her to leave sine she has mentioned a couple of times that public buildings are places she doesn't want to step foot in.

My questions right now are:

1) How long would it take to get a reinterview scheduled?

2) Will USCIS think we are delaying the interview to avoid being interviewed before our two year anniversary? (I've read this concern on a few forums here)

3) Suppose my wife is convinced and agrees to go for the interview, what are the chances that the officer will leave us some *gray* area and assign the 10 year GC instead of the 2 year GC? Our case is very strong and we have tons of evidence to back up our relationship (photos, timeline, relative affidavits, receipts, bank accounts, list goes on...)

4) What is the chance that our application for interview rescheduling gets denied?

Request for more information

Hey all,

I have just seen my case status online and it is requesting more information.

I am so upset and annoyed as I paid an attorney to check and out baby is due next month.
I ve come to terms with the extended waits but to think because of an error on my side will delay it further will frustrate me. I m in the U.K. and my fianc is in Florida.

so my question is will I have to wait another 9 months for NOA2?
I think I might crack up, my fianc flys back to the states today so we will see what is in the letter. I have a feeling it is to do with a conviction he got at 21 being young and dumb and fleeing and eluding on a motorcycle.

Couples with expired K1

Hi everyone,

I hope you all are having lovely holidays. Sorry if this has been asked before - I've searched for keywords a few times but didn't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for.

I am very aware of the travel ban mega-thread and I follow it daily, but I am looking for a more specific thing.

Are there any of you who got a K1 visa issued in London right before the travel ban (early 2020) and did not manage to leave?

I know some of you:

a) chose to travel via third country and are already with their loved ones (well done!). Unfortunately, due to commitments in the UK and pandemic affecting my family, I wasn't able to do this

b) others decided to get married elsewhere and file for CR1

I am looking for the third group of people who are waiting for the US Embassy in London to resume visa processing and who have an expired K1.

I'd be very grateful if anyone who's in the same situation would respond or could direct me to the right sources.

Thanks

Hey

So with everything going on my husband (us citizen) is looking to see if he can get food stamps. Would this effect my adjustment of status application (interview in 2 weeks)

We have a joint sponsor due to not earning enough but would my husband getting food stamps effect it?

London embassy - enrolled or unenrolled deed poll?

Does anyone know if the London embassy accepts the unenrolled deed poll for name change (the one you sign yourself) or is the enrolled deed poll (through courts) required as it doesn't specify what type on the website and technically it isn't required in the UK to get the enrolled one?

And if it is easier/quicker/cheaper to get a statutory declaration of name change or the enrolled deed poll?
