Can anyone suggest a fix for the DS-160 timing out when being filled out?

I am trying to fill out my previous work history, but between going back and forth between various docs to get the dates and info I need, the session keeps expiring - and I can't save my progress on a section without completing the full section!

I'm stuck in a loop of filling out all the info, having it time out and expire, logging back in to the same page, to just have the same problem again...

I saw a previous thread here suggesting to use Firefox, which I am now doing, but this still doesn't resolve it. I've also tried Brave and Edge browsers previously.

How do they think 1 - 2 min per page is sufficient time to complete a page that is asking for 5, 6, 7 or 8 lines of information per item?????

Just checked the CEAC tracker and my case number now says "Ready"!

From what I understand, I'm now able to complete/submit my DS-160 but I am aware that on this form I will need to provide travel history. My issue here is that I'm due to take a trip to see my fianc in a little over 2 weeks, and know that I can't provide dates of trips waiting to happen. Would you advise I hang fire on the DS-160 til I return, or complete it now and bring up the more recent trip at interview?

Am I correct in thinking that I can't schedule a medical/interview before submitting the DS-160? Or can I now start to explore possible dates in advance of that?

Additionally, can anyone tell me how long the DS-160 is valid for after submission? If I submit it in October, will it still be valid til Nov/Dec/beyond?

FYI, I am still yet to receive any direct contact from London (in case this factors into things).

Hi all,

Has anybody had their passport and documents delivered to a third party and signed by them at all? I have my visa interview next week and I am just on the visa interview appointment site looking at arranging delivery of these if approved to my grandma's address as I will be at work and unable to sign for delivery.

I have attached a screenshot of the Home delivery instructions. Looking at this it is ok for my grandma to sign for them on the initial delivery but she would need to have proof of items listed in section 5 of the attached. I am a bit confused as to why this isn't required on the initial delivery but then required on the redelivery?

Then I would put my grandmas name in the Care Of field on the 2nd attached screenshot.

Just want to make sure I have understood this correctly so I can enter the delivery details correctly on the site.

my question is in the title but I will give more context.

I'm a British citizen married to a USC and we filed our standalone i-130 in November 2023.

When he had to leave the UK after we got married we couldn't stand being apart so we decided that I would move to Tijuana, Mexico and he would cross every day to be with me.

He works and will maintain his address in San Diego. I'll be moving to Mexico as a temporary resident by family. (Previously we thought of us each visiting for long periods but that has it's own issues)

So that leaves which embassy i'll be doing my American interview through.

On the i-130 I put I would be going through the London, UK embassy because that was the plan at the time.

But now I will be living in Mexico I just want to be 1000% sure can I still have my interview in London?

I have a flexible ticket back so I can easily be there.

It's about 1.5 years longer going through either embassy in Mexico compared to the UK.

and BONUS QUESTIONS:

when I do move to TJ i'm thinking i'll need to let USCIS know. How do I do that? or is it only by the NVC stage i have to submit the documents?

We had an extensive amount of evidence up until this point. I've submitted unsolicited evidence before, in this situation should I put through more? It's an odd one for my husband as he will have an address in SD and in TJ and we'll be getting a joint Mexican bank accounts together which was not possible because we lived in separate countries. Great bona fide evidence but is it odd he's living in 2 places at once? Or just he's visiting me or what? It's hard to get my head round. I'm not worried about him having loose ties to the US but should I be?
