Hello

Well here we are almost 3 years after we mailed in our I129F.. Man what an adventure its been.. My fiance and her K2 daughter finally got here in Jan and we got married in Feb filled AOS (I485, I765, an I131 in Mar and in May had the biometrics done here in NC.. Were now getting ready for 2 things.

1- the marriage green card interview

2- in Oct our other 2 K2 kids will be interviewing atbyhe BKK US Consulate in Thailand for their k2 visas

While i thought things would get easier they are just as complacated as the I129F was when I really didnt know what I was doing.. Iv learned a few things since..

So my questions are:

1 - what documents do i need to send to Thailand for my 2 follow on K2 kids interview...? and is it an interview since they were listed on the original I129F that got approved in Oct of last year?

2- for our ( myself and the wife) K1 green card interview what docs should i be getting together for that interview? and is their any other forms like the DA260 or I130 or I864 that i have to fill out an resubmit new or just bring copies of the originals to the interview.. iv been reading alot of conflicting stuff Theirs pretty good stuff on the USCIS site that iv seen then i read some legal immigration sites who say different.

3- also has any body who's been thru the interview have any advise on the interview process they could share

Hello

My wife got her K1 visa in Jan 5th of 2024 and 1 of the 3 kids traveled with us to the US. we have 2 K2 kids that will be traveling soon their schedualed interview is Oct 10.

Im wondering how long after their interview do my K2 kids have before they have to travel to the US? My oldest has her finals in Dec.

Also since our I129F has already been approved by the US consulate BKK and the 2 follow up K2 kids are named on the original petition what documents do i need to get to them for the BKK consulate interview as the petitioner?

Also does their interview date in Oct effect the 1 year time line to travel for their departure form BKK since we filed their DS160 back in Mar and just last week got the Oct date..?

IRS thinks I didn’t file taxes - will this affect upcoming interview?

I checked the IRS website last week to get a copy of my transcript to upload for 2023 for my wife s upcoming interview. Message on the website said something to the effect of me not filing despite the fact they cashed my $10k check in March. Tried calling several times but couldn t reach anyone.

My sister checked my mail today and lo and behold there was a letter from the IRS saying basically that they received a return with my name and SSN and need me to call them to verify my identity so they can continue processing my return which they say takes 9 weeks

I plan on printing a copy of the letter for my wife to take with her to her interview on the 26th of this month. In March I uploaded my 1040 and all supporting documents like W2, 1040 s etc to CEAC. I also uploaded a printout from Wells Fargo showing the IRS cashed our check.

Could the fact that the IRS is saying I didn t file somehow affect our case? I wouldn t think so but wanted to ask the greater community for feedback.

My wife just passed her interview and was approved by the consular officer. I read there is an immigrant fee of $200 or so payable to USCIS. Is this true? When do I do that?

My wife's interview letter (Myanmar citizen, residing in Bangkok) from the Bangkok Embassy states that prior to her interview we must upload a Valid Myanmar Police Certificate and translation despite the fact that we uploaded one that was accepted by NVC in March 2024. She has not returned to Myanmar since then so the certificate should still be valid. After getting stuck for 10 weeks in the sputum test debacle, we don't want any surprises at her interview on July 26. Attached is a redacted copy of the certificate and translation we submitted. I uploaded it again and hope it will suffice, but I want to make sure I am covering all my bases.

@ThailandRand @Mike E I saw your thread below, similar but not exact issue last July so I was hoping you could chime in.
