AOS I-751 Didn't Receive Child Dependent Card

Hello everyone,

We filed a single I-751 for my wife and step daughter (listed her as dependent on form) in October and we were approved in February. We just received my wife's card this week. We have not received my step daughters card. I know it's super early to worry about this but I figured they'd send them (cards) together.

Was I supposed to file a separate I-751 for my step daughter? AFAIK we only received one receipt number. Was my SD supposed to have a separate number? I paid the extra fee for my SD included in the packet I-751 sent. I put a screenshot of the area on the I-751 that I filled out for my SD. I put her name, DOB, A#, and answered "Yes" to questions 4 and 5.

We feel blessed to have been approved, I just want to confirm I didn't mess anything up. No additional interview or biometric appointment was needed apparently. Thanks everyone.

Proving intent to return home

Hi everyone,

My name is Mimi. I'm currently in CR1 process and planning to visit my husband while waiting in the process (with B2 visa).

Right now I'm gathering evidence to prove to the immigration that I will definitely come back to my home country.

Does anyone have a sample of a letter showing on-going responsibility of caring for family members?

In my case, I'm responsible for my little siblings who have mental issues (ADHD and depression).

I am the one who support them financially and also act as their guardian when I take them to hospital.

I plan to show them this letter along with the doctor's letter and other medical records.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I know that the approval rate for 601a's is very high (above 95% last data I saw), but is there any data regarding the number of successful 601a's where the applicant was denied a visa at the interview based on other inadmissible grounds?

Travel to the US while CR1 is being processed

Hi everyone,

I'm Mimi. I'm new here! Nice to meet you all.

My husband has just filed i-130 for me and while we're waiting for the process, I would like to travel to the US and stay with my husband.

Has anyone have an experience traveling to the US with B2 visa while waiting for CR1 to be processed?

I've heard that it's hard and there's a high chance you will get rejected by the immigration.

But I also saw people who made it through the immigration, so I'm a bit worried here.

Is there anything I need to know in order to prepare myself for this?

Because I already bought the tickets and just have to take the risk here.

Please kindly let me know if I should bring any documents with me that would help me get through the immigration.

Thank you for your advice in advance.

Vaccinations

I am looking for some guidance on vaccinations. The U.S. has a large list of required vaccinations. I am not surprised that my fianc has no record of any vaccinations that she had as a little girl. But, I hear that some vaccinations are not required before entry into the U.S. Now that our case is In-transit, does anyone have any suggestions on how to begin the vaccination process? Should she wait and just ask the doctor during the medical exam what she should do regarding vaccinations? Or, should she start trying to get some vaccinations before the medical exam? Even though the cost of vaccinations are cheaper in Thailand, when we get married and she is added to my health insurance, it will be a lot cheaper just for her to wait until she enters the US.
