I read the I-751 filing instructions and it says that I SHOULD include two affidavits, sworn to by friends, to prove that my marriage is bona fide. It also says that the letter has to include friend s address and birthday and birth place, isn t that kind of... too personal to share for some people? My friends and I all like to keep these things private. 1. Do I absolutely have to? I have TONS of evidence to send them like insurance, bills, joint account, rent, plane tickets, photos and even hubby paying for my education. 2. Do my friends need to have their letters notarized? 3. Can my US citizen friends only provide full name, number, email and where they work (all of them are academia or physicians). Anyone filed recently without affidavits?

Hello everyone, my ead approved on 11/23 and received the card on 12/11, but I still have not received my SSN. I indicated on my I-765 form that I authorized USCIS to share my information to SSA to issue my SSN, after 2 weeks waiting there still nothing get. I had called SSA through national 800 number, but the customer service agent only gave me the SSA's phone number which near my neighborhood. However, I noticed that there are three SSA in Houston(nw, sw and se), sw(where I live) and nw are closed because of COVID, only se office is open. My question is can I make an appointment of se office even though I'm not live there? or I should keep waiting patiently? I feel frustrated and hope somebody can give me advice to help me , following are the things happened on me because I don't have SSN 1. Chase Bank rejected my spouse to put my name under his bank account to make a joint bank account 2. Leasing office rejected my spouse to put my name under his lease 3. T-mobile rejected me to change my phone bill's name from my spouse name to mine 4. Blue Cross Blue Shield rejected my spouse to put my name under his health insurance 5. DMV not allow me to get driver license 6. No employers want to give me interview chance after they know I still have not received SSN

Dear VJers, My husband (USC) has been overseas for 18 years. We flew to the states this year on July 1st due to some family issues. I started my green card application in Aug, but first he had to catch up his 2016~2019 tax returns so that we can have tax transcripts that USCIS asked. We knew the tax transcripts might still be unavailable when I filed, but we sent the tax forms out anyway. Today, we realized we submitted the wrong forms for overseas earned income exemption (I know, it's been a while since last he did it), so we need to re-file it again, but we have some questions: 1. For 2016~2019, If we are in the states 2020 to file 2016~2019 overseas earn income (married filed separately), should we use foreign address or US address as filing address? Which IRS office should we send to? Can we resubmit all files or just update the ones we missed? 2. For 2020 tax, since we have 182 days overseas, 184 days in USA, are we still qualified for foreign earned income exclusion for 6 months? Should we attach Form 2555 and schedule 1 as well? 3. Since I am still waiting for my green card, I don't have a SSN and I don't have a job. For 2020 tax return, we are thinking married filed jointly. We will submit W7 for my ITIN along with other tax forms. Thanks for your great help, Stay safe.

Dear folks, On my green card application sent in Aug 2020, I've attached my sponsor's 206~2018 tax return transcripts but not 2019 because the IRS hasn't processed my sponsor's documents yet. On Nov. 2, I received a RFIE letter asking for my sponsor's 2019 Tax return transcript. I applied to the IRS again, after 10 days, I received a letter stating "no record found". After talking to an IRS officer on the phone, she confirmed the IRS received my sponsor's file but still hasn't processed it yet due to COVID (My sponsor filed in Feb. 2020). I tried to talk to a USCIS tier 2 officer but still waiting for them to call back. I read some similar topics about tax transcripts, I have my sponsor's tax forms and cancelled check with me. Since I only have 87 days to do it (need to send something in by Jan 27.), should I send those docs or talk to a lawyer? Will I get a second chance for the same RFIE? If USCIS deny my application, do I have to leave the country? Thanks everyone and stay safe,
