US Immigration from Syria

We are IR1. My husband just had an interview in Ankara turkey. We got administrative processing which was expected due to him being Syrian. We are not missing any documents. They told him to wait two weeks for instructions on how to send in his paperwork and passport. I just am at a loss. I guess we just wait??

What happens after visa (IR1) approval? Will we be able to get my spouse a ticket right away to travel to the US? What are the procedures we must do?

I was just wondering if a joint sponsor can be married and sponsor a an immigrant without their spouse? They file taxes separately as well.

My Senator sent an expedite request on my behalf to the U.S. Embassy, typically how long until they reply back to me with an approval or response? Does it usually work when senators send them instead?
