US Immigration from Pakistan

Hi,

On 25th May I received a Notice of immigrant Visa Case Creation. When I login to CEAC link provided in the email using my NVC case number and invoice id number I see my application in the list and next to that Pay Fee and Start Application buttons. Pay Fee and Start Application options both are grayed out for me. When it will be available for to start my 12 steps process?

What a frustrating and slow process this has been. We filed AoS in September 2020, sent RFE in March 2021, and nothing since except receiving a courtesy letter two weeks ago for not having submitted the I-693 with the AoS packet. I live in Texas so our tax deadline was extended till mid-June due to the winter storm. Here are a couple questions:

• Do I need to file an extension as Married Filing Separately, and once my wife has an SSN, amend tax return as Married Filing Jointly?
• What if we are still waiting for her to be issued an SSN by October - does it mean she will not be listed in tax return for 2020 and also miss out on the stimulus checks as well?

What has been your experience with the Ombudsman office for cases outside normal processing at USCIS? Did it help your case? Thanks.

We are about to file N400 online every thing is done but I just noticed in download PDF file to recheck that:

Part 12 Additional Information About You;

Question 13 (A, B and C) are not check box (It's empty), and I went back on my N400 online application it's not appear for "Yes"/"No" any more!

Please advice?
