US Immigration from Nigeria

Why did NVC post over 500 cases submitted to the embassy or consulate in March and later change them to 300 plus, does this means they are making mistakes with the numbers and why are they not updating April? Also, someone waiting without having any idea when your interview will come up. Can anyone tell me the situation of the Consulate in Lagos if they're working at full capacity now? Thank you.

My husband is Nigerian and has been in the US for over 2 years. He has a 7 year old son in Nigeria and last year the child s mother passed away and we have petitioned for him to come to the US. We recently tried expediting it but it was denied. The only thing we could think of is that we didn t have the death certificate of his mother. My husband s family in Nigeria are trying to get this but we don t have it yet. Has anyone gone through anything similar. We re hoping we don t have to wait for the regular I 130 track.

We ve been documentrily qualified since September 2020.
We are on F31.

I am reaching out in hopes that someone has experienced a similar situation as I am not sure how to proceed. I have filed an affidavit of support in the past for a previous spouse whose green card was sent in March of 2013. We divorced before the 2 year conditional green card status was removed and I have no idea if he is still here or working or what. I have since remarried and am about to file the same form for my current spouse. I know that you must include past marriages under the affidavit of support in your household size if the 10 year mark had not expired, but since I am unaware of his location and work status, should I include the previous spouse in the new affidavit of support since the 10 year mark has expired?
