US Immigration from Nigeria

Hi everyone!

I m getting ready to submit my K1 package and wanted to know if the package is returned to you before the interview. It seems like you have to bring the same things you submitted originally with you. How should I approach a duplicate package.

Pls i trying to bring my aunt to america for a visit pls what do i need to do in other to avoid denial. I havent even applied yet. She is 52 with no travel history and a widow. Just want her to visit. Please help what and what do we need?

Dear VJ family, i would like to know if any one knows why its really taking so long to get any message about passport collection from US embassy in Lagos. i had my interview two weeks ago and i have not receive any information about the passport pick up since then. Checking through the CEAC website say the visa been printed and will be dispatched or available for pick up soon but that has been the update for the last two weeks.

Sorry if silly question, but as far as I understood, K1 cases at NVC are there to mostly get assigned a case number and fowarded to appopriate consulate correct? My case has been assigned a case number and at NVC since April 2020 because of covid and stop on services, Lagos embassy has had no new K1 cases fowarded to them.Well I had sent an email to NVC 2 weeks ago asking a general question since Lagos has now resume scheduling interviews for cases that were already at the consulate prior to shutdown/ those whose interviews were cancelled. about nature of how they will start fowarding new cases, and this was their reply:

" This petition is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. You will be notified with further instructions when the processing is complete and the case is forwarded to the assigned US Embassy/Consulate General."

And am so confused cause this is the first I have ever heard of K1 cases undergoing administrative processing at the NVC stage and honestly I had not asked any specific questions about my case at all. So I am thinking this may be just one of their generic replies?

We are eagerly awaiting our NOA2 this month and I m wondering how our other Nigeria k-1-ers are doing for appointment times and such. Has anyone out there recently been denied their K-1 visa? Has anyone had to wait beyond 7 months for their NOA2? How soon after your NOA2 were you able to schedule an interview?
