US Immigration from Nepal

Hello,

My nepali wife has received her email for interview appointment at the embassy for August 2nd. Part of the instructions say to create an account on the US Travel Docs website (she did). That site mentions the soonest interview date to be Sept. 13th and mentions the fee of $260.

She called the embassy and emailed them as well but no one can answer us. Are we supposed to pay for the Aug 2nd interview appt.? How best to navigate this do you think?

Hi again helpful folks! We are filing the i765 with the i485. We are confused about how to answer Questions 25 on i765 "Your current Immigration Status or Category". My husband entered the US with a K1 visa, we got married, now we are filing the AOS paperwork. His answer to Question 24 "Immigration Status at Your Last Arrival" is easy - K1. But what is his current status? Can we put something in the entry field like "K1 Fiance now married filing AOS i485"? We know his Eligibility Category and answer to Question 27 is (c)(9). But how does he answer Question 25?

I have previously worked in the US on EAD after graduate school from 2012 to 2014. Do I need to mention this during I-765 application family based (AOS post K-1)? and do I need to include copies?

Also, this I-765 would be initial permission to accept employment? (page 1, option 1a)

Hi, I saw in one of the posts that the medical form is also attached with the submission for I-485 for k1. But in the instructions I see that medical form is not needed if medical examination has been completed less than a year before during the submission of application. Could anyone confirm this? And do I need to mention this in the cover letter?

Which city/state? Did you expedite? How long did it take you to get the passport and your documents back?

I'm trying to get a sense for how long it might take right now, during the pandemic, but as travel restrictions lift and people are looking to travel. Is expediting worth it?
